Maybe it depends on how much the character resembles an animal. Sonic characters already don’t look like the animals they are. You then make it a robot and it looks even less like that animal. Fnaf characters are robot furries, so that makes them one step more furry than Sonic robot furries.
So it’d probably make you a furry, but every step you take away from regular furries makes it less likely

Showing them that anthropomorphics openly express their personality traits more with the physical features of animals and that makes them appear cool. That and the visual signals of animal emotions are easier to pick up than the subtle ones that people do with their body language.

So you tell the younglings that the reason why they're socially maladjusted and have no friends is because they can't move their ears back and snarl like a wolf. And if they and everyone else had animalistic features they would have a better social life because the social signs would be picked up better.

Come to think of it, Sally is pretty furry. Also, on the Archie comic, there was this artist called Steven Butler who always seemed pretty horny. And on the IDW comic, some of the artists have made Sonic porn.
