You can't deny that Mania is pretty fun to play too. Unleashed's night stages are still clunky garbage.
i suck at 2D sonic, you will never see me go past the first stages. the night stages sucked ass with the platforming bullshit but the fighting was cool, and also still better from the nightmare that was the OG sonic 06.

Fuck you faggot, frontiers was a fucking hit, unlike unleashed which is fucking shit.
Frontiers is one of the worst controlling 3D Sonic games and I will never forget the soyboy defenders excusing it's poor controls under the excuse of Sonic Team adding 50 million sliders to the options menu so you can make Sonic control slightly less like shit.

Don't care about Unleashed. But from what I've seen it does seem pretty overrated.

On Superstars: They removed the lives system with no option to enable that and that automatically makes it one of the worst classic sonic games out there. "Lives are outdated" fags don't understand how much the lives system tied into classic sonic's game design. The meme of rings being pointless becomes true when rings lose all value, there's no incentive to hold onto many rings when you don't get anything for getting them, besides the defense that just a few rings provides anyways.

... Then again it's a complete crutch for this game, the bosses especially are so poorly designed that the game would be unbearable with lives anyways. So the game's shit either way.

Sonic hasn't been good since Sonic 3 and Knuckles.
I liked the Adventure games, and certainly a number of classic characters and concepts post-S3&K and pre-Adventure (Fighters' characters, Fang the Sniper, Flickies, etc.) are worth inserting into any good modern Classic game like Mania did. But damn if you aren't right gameplay-wise (again outside of Mania).
