Considering how popular the show is they'd be mental not to try and capitalise again. It looks like a decent 2d platformer which (with a few notable exceptions) is the only format that really works for Sonic games.

It actually looks quite good.

well it doesnt looks terrible, now lets wait the reactions of our sonic spergs about how the franchise is ruined
 
I love the lead-in to this trailer: "What do you get... when you mix fire...with ice?"

You... you get water. Maybe some steam. That's like... it.

Since it is blue armed Sonic, you can have people like Chris sperg about that.
 
It doesn't look that bad. Isn't most of the handheld Sonic games decent/good on the most part? I'm not really interested in preordering it, but if it gets really cheap. I might pick it up.

Well, The Advance games and the Rush games were indeed quite good. But then Rush Adventure, the second Rush game, didn't sell very well at all. And so, Dimps, who makes the handheld Sonics, was demoted to making portable versions of Sonic Team titles. Colors DS and Generations 3DS were decent (although the latter has excellent Classic stages), but Lost World 3DS wasn't.

That said, this game does look like a rehash of Sonic Rush. Oh well. At least it'll have a kickass soundtrack (if they get the main Sonic Team composers, that is).
 
Sonic isn't the console flagship character that he was in most of our childhoods'. He's now a cartoon character who gets shitty tie-in video games.
