To be honest, I think that policy was stupid as fuck. Sorry you had to deal with that. Instead of targeting specific people, maybe Lowtax shouldn't have let the forums get too PC and the good old days of shouting fuck you and die and all that were put to rest. Alienating your userbase which paid $10 to post there isn't a good business model.

Oh, I agree. I won't lie, I was pretty fucking pissed off and salty when it happened since I didn't cause any trouble myself, but in the long run I've slowly realized how little I missed out on by no longer being a Goon. I'm probably a better person because of it. There was a period where I did hold some level of contempt and general dismissal toward Lowtax but as the years have piled on I've seen him grow weary of his own community and desperately try to get back into the original kind of video game comedy that he was known for, the type of stuff I used to like back in the day.

I set aside my grudges and was able to enjoy Gaming Garbage when it came out, and while Lowtax is still hit or miss with his policies, seeing him throw out Shmorky -- the furry fandom's equivalent of a "race traitor" -- earned back a lot of my respect. He's alright in my book now, it's just kinda sad to see his community end up, as @Gangster Talk put it, a candidate for the site's very own Weekend Web column.

I don't follow SA drama closely but I know at some point Lowtax came to the same conclusion as his voice gradually increased in octaves. I think he was also getting frustrated with his whining over correct pronouns and similar bullshit. I don't think he's been in any of his videos for a while, confirmed by YouTube comments on his latest video of people with furry avatars complaining about Lowtax's intolerance for people who are "tranny/genderfluid".

I feel bad for the dude honestly, his entire community has turned into something that would've been featured on Weekend Web a decade ago.

Shmorky formerly co-hosted Gaming Garbage for something like 100+ episodes before getting fired. It was the last project he worked on for Something Awful before he had gone too far off the deep end.

This is a shocking development that someone who is both trans and a furry would be behind so much dumb drama!

But really for Lowtax I don't know why he'd want him anywhere near his children in the first place.
