It's also backseat modding of the highest order. On top of Lowtax getting backstabbed by his staff, a user decided that a thread should be closed and shitposted until it happened. Lowtax and wife banned the fucker, but apparently his admins think that he isn't allowed to decide who gets banned on his own site.
Especially funny considering how Something Awful seems to pride itself on being so strictly moderated and admins like FAU are being described as "fair" but in the end it's just a bunch of goons doing whatever they want, pushing their personal agendas and acting out their petty grudges while Lowtax goes
The amount of power FYAD wields is insane. While people excuse it on the basis of "they make all the funny", it's one of the least viewed forums on SA - so the membership apparently doesn't agree. Right now there are 15 people viewing FYAD and over 500 viewing GBS.
FYAD also has the laxest rules of any forum. All of the things FYAD concern trolls complain about being said in GBS can be and are said in FYAD, and FYAD is the only forum in which NSW content can be posted without spoilers. Porn is allowed in FYAD, with few exceptions.
The attempt to make GBS into some kind of social lounge where posters from all the subs gather to intermingle politely is a denial of history. GBS was the containment forum for all the stuff which didn't fit in the subs. It had looser rules partly because it was the "bullshit" forum. The idea that if GBS is deleted it's current regulars will participate in the other subs is ludicrous. They avoid those subs with good reason. Fucking with GBS is not a "community building" exercise, regardless of who tries to characterise it as such.

I've never been able to wrap my head around anyone considering FYAD funny, but I'm at peace with my ignorance. What I simply cannot fathom is why, no matter which mod it is, from Ozma to the newest crop - they all suck FYAD dick. If I understand this correctly, FYAD wants all of SA to return to the blissful days where none of the goons were self aware, and they were the forum meta-comedians, infinitely supplied with material to make fun of all of the subs. When Lowtax undid all the GBS rules in 2013, GBS became fyad-lite, but without the instant bans for outsider posting and without the impenetrable layers of 10 year old in-jokes?

I refrained from posting their names or Instagram/Facebook/Twitch accounts; I didn't surreptitiously send out any friend requests. Every picture posted on this site was freely available to the public.
It's funny how troons like LMO flip the hell out when someone posts their publicly available picture to laugh at; but explicitly defend threads like "Thread for butts" on SA, even though they are all doing the EXACT same thing by collecting publicly available pictures of women so they would have one convenient place to jerk their ladydicks.
