Reading the list of 'superfriends' is bringing to mind some more writeups, because some of these posters are fucking goldmines of what the fuck. Araenna and Hackbunny are two I fucking forgot about.

Virtually every major rat king cow we cover either hailed from or has connections to someone who posted in the SA TMT.

SA troons are such awful shit that the term they came up with for themselves spread out and became a derogatory term for the whole group they belong to. Congratulations you stupid fuckers.

One thing I've noticed comparing then to now is that there used to be a lot more emphasis on passing in the TMT. Now it seems to have moved more in the "you can be a bearded lady if you want" direction.

The TMT is now on its 11th iteration. The very first one was started almost 10 years ago, so it's not really surprising that people from those earlier threads have spread out to other places (and SRS especially).

People who have no connection to SA use it constantly and I've never seen it used in the context of SomethingAwful until this drama happened. I'm more likely to believe it a coincidence.

It's actually from SA/ SASS. What I'm not sure is if the SA trans goons used it first or SASS. I seem to recall SA Goons using it as their very own label but SASS mockery made them sour on it. I recall early trans-threads on SA using the term as their own thing. I haven't kept up enough in recent years to know troon has become a slur on SA like tranny or not.
