Accelerationism is popular among former Bernie Bros who think that giving up and letting Literal Hitler drive the country off a cliff means they'll get to roll out the damn guillotines already. Other goons are running apologetics for Biden and trying to convince one another of the purity and virtuousness of Corn Pop. Well, not trying to convince each other, they're just talking past each other as loudly and as angrily as they can.

Pick's gotten herself involved, too, with a 15.7 million degree take!

I'm not sure who's going to win the fight over whether everyone should just hold their nose and vote for Biden. I imagine that the question will be answered, however, when an admin rolls through and bans everybody he disagrees with. Some things never change.

It would appear that the Sun has flown too close to the mods, and might never shine again. Poor gal. True to form, the argument over Biden's worthiness as a presidential candidate played out as follows:

  1. The Biden supporters stated their case
  2. The doomers stated their case and attacked the Biden supporters
  3. The Biden supporters attacked back
  4. The language and hostility of the discussion escalated, with people digging through each other's post histories about Kavanaugh and shit to prove each other's hypocrisy
  5. The discussion degenerated into Biden supporters and doomers screaming past each other
  6. fool_of_sound rolled through probated all the Biden supporters for posting badly
  7. Nothing happened to the doomers who were posting equally badly

This cycle can be observed in absolutely every situation where goons have any sort of disagreement -- be it over cooking or financial planning or anime pornography or national politics. The mods take a step back and watch the trashfire burn higher and higher until it scrapes the sky, then they punish the side of the argument they don't agree with and cite incivility as the reason. Neither do the mods care about autistic shit like creeping a wrongthinker's post history and following him into every thread he posts in to remind everybody that "this guy is a sexist monster for failing to comprehend the inherent underlying themes of female liberation in kill la kill" or whatever the fuck made a goon mad this time.

I'm curious as to where this will lead in terms of the presidential midterm election, though. If the mods keep supporting and cultivating an attitude that the federal government is irreversibly fucked, I expect D&D et al. to produce yet more and more spectacular acts of real-life terrorism.

I endlessly continue to not understand why people don't know what the word "bigot" means. Making fun of people isn't bigotry, wanting to be rid of people for their way of thinking no matter how harmless they are to you is bigotry.
