I especially loved how within a day of asking for new writers Lowtax angrily clarified that he would not be changing a policy from 2002 for any reason.

It's pissing, shitting, tampons, and anything else that goes on in the bathroom, as well as huge quantities of faceless men suddenly appearing out of nowhere to rape the woman who's doing the pissing, shitting, and tampons. That's what I remember from the Something Awful review, anyway. The title screen was literally just a photo of a toilet. I think the game was voice acted, too.

I've actually heard of hentai games that are even worse. Look up Sweet Pool.
 
Oh, now I get it, I wasn't aware that SA ever reviewed that shit. Makes sense considering Lowt's online facade as an edgy wacky individual that refuses to take anything seriously.

SA gets fewer advertisers today despite being ultra woke than they did when they had photoshops mocking 9/11 less than a year after it happened, and the forums had words like "faggot" and "nigger" flying around freely.

That reminds me! Someone tried to make a "what's hot right now" thing for the forums. It exists only as a thread in GBS because LowT himself refuses to put in the time and effort to make some kind of automated ticker with trending/controversial/gold threads.

Instead of finding a way to draw new blood into the forums via the front page LowT was like "well it's been fine since 2002 so u guys can just post what you're reading in one gigantic useless thread"

Both the codebase and the webmaster are fucking decrepit and worthless

Yeah llLowtax neglected the front page and it was the black hole of comedy Zach Parsons and his horrible battleaxe wife that helped kill the front page and forums respectively. It felt like they ran the site for about 5 years after the mangosteen incident.

Doesn't Lowtax claim that even in its hayday, he was paying out more for front page articles than they were making? If thats the case, why is he so deadset on NOT changing the front page? He acts like it worked for all these years, but then claims that it has always been a net negative on cash.


I mean, obviously I know the answer, and this is more of a rhetorical question, I think its just funny

I always thought the front page was a place where amateur writers could publish their shit for a large audience for the hell of it. There were links to popular forums threads and a lot of stuff was taken from the forums anyway. A hobbyist thing. It made sense in pre-Facebook, pre-Blogger world. Nowadays its trivial to publish your stuff anywhere you want.

I also like how Lowtax vacillates between "this is an indie website keeping it real" to "this is a business that is losing money". Pick one, you can't claim it is one or the other when it best suits your interests. And if it is a business clean up your act and start working you pillhead! It is the worlds worst handled business especially considering how profitable it is.

If he sold the site they could restore the flash-based content from before they switched to embedded video files and thus bring back half of what actually ever mattered to visitors.

Her, she's trying to convince herself since 'businesswoman' sounds better than 'working girl' especially when there's a pretty clear idea what side of the coin she actually falls on.
