Many years ago, I encountered a thread in GBS titled "Why I Masturbate My Son." It linked to a blog written by a rather disturbed individual, who went to great lengths to explain why he felt it was his fatherly duty to polish his extremely retarded paraplegic child's knob on the regular. The blog appears to be linked here now.

I find myself wondering what the new Something Awful's reaction to this would be. Other than wishing they were the one in the wheelchair.

Of course they miss the opportunity to strike while the iron is hot. They could have probably taken at least 500 regular visitors/posters from SA and possibly their patreon money by leaving registration open and just banning accounts if they aren't pure. Null has probably gained 200 regular members since all the lowtax/SA drama started.

They will get bored of their 100 person hug box and it will die after a few months.

I wouldn't be so sure. The goon brony offsite is still as alive as it ever was. Hardened little kernels of true believers can hold onto their tiny community for years.

I don't think there were anywhere near 500 of them, which is why Lowtax capitulating to them made no sense unless he wanted to rebrand the forum as a "safe space".

GBS has around 500 regulars and the Barneys never had that. They were few in number but relentlessly loud.
