More than likely he doesn't just use weed and is using prescription drugs for recreation. Someone being that retarded and angry doesn't just cope with weed. They want immediate dispersal of any and all negative feelings and it doesn't matter what does it.

He says he doesn't want weed as a crutch but he smokes it every time he gets upset which means it's already a crutch. Learning to cope is what actual people do, they learn to deal with negative feelings and they don't push them away.

I'm not rebuying archives to find out exactly when the change was, but it's probably just a goon doing a gimmick that they see no need to drop. PewDiePie has better things to do, and actually does them.
 
Regardless of whether he is or isn't the real deal, those probations are hilariously exceptional and like most things on SA, serve as a reminder of how fucking unfunny and gay the place is. If the taxman fired 90% of the mods and actually let people run wild again without eating bans and probations because FAU and his troon-squad's front-hole closed up again he might actually see the place lighten up. But why bother when you can easily m.ilk goons on patreon and eek out a meagre existence copying other failures on weird twitter?

That's definitely not PDP, if he were an active user on Something Awful it would be a pretty well-known thing and the forums would be flooded by his fanbase hoping to get him to read their posts.

Not only this, but also as more and more topics/jokes became "forbidden" you would likely be banned for some of the photoshops you would post. No one wanted to spend 2+ hours in photoshop just to eat a ban for using the word "gay" (on one of the days where it isn't allowed).

It's just way easier to post that shit on reddit/twitter/whatever.

Its about a decade too late for that.
2006 or so, yeah, he could have sacked the admin team, left a small janitorial staff, and let the goons run wild and burn themselves out with random shit posts and posting nigger tranny faggot, and things would have settled down after. The forum also had enough population, and a diverse enough one, that the few sensitive ur-trannies who left wouldn't have been missed and new posters might have replaced them.

Now that SA is a tranny hugbox safespace, you let the goon id release a decade of pent up madposting, and the forums will become an unreadable shitpost box that would make vintage /b/ look like a hub of excellent posts and well-reasoned discussion. Look at what happened with GBS 2.0 (which was starting to burn itself out when they killed it). There's a 'lurking majority', but there isn't enough posters, and enough diversity in posters, to let SA recover from what will sure to be the tranny and SJW exodus once the admin staff stop protecting them and removing their enemies.

Lol at lowtax blaming users for not emailing him at lowtax @ somethingawful.com when there’s a problem. I know I always go straight to the ceo of a company when I have an issue because fuck their support forum. Then again, most ceos probably have some familiarity with their products where lowtax just can’t be bothered.
