Chloe is a bad example because she was truly batshit and also blamed Brianna Wu and Zinnia Jones for ruining her life. Former goon Fire/Terra Jones is probably a much better example if you want to talk about situations in which we continue to use someone's old name because we know it annoys them (in most threads you'll find a mix of old and new names being used, Fire is rarely ever referred to as "Terra", though).

You don't become a different person just because you change your name (this is true whether you're trans or not - see Chelseas van Valkenburg/Zoe Quinn). We spotlight some pretty shitty people here and their history before they came to our attention is often relevant.

Their previous names often bring forward information we wouldn't otherwise find (criminal histories are often under their birth name). Chloe actually changed her birth name to another male name before she became Chloe, and we know from old posts we found that her severe mental illness seems to have developed after that time.

One of the weirdest parts of the Chloe story is that her parents actually contacted us when they were trying to locate her - because her birth name came up on a Google search.

Chloe Sagal lolcow thread was dead for like 6-8 months prior to her suicide. afaik she killed herself because her roommate kicked her out of the apartment so she was homeless and all the people she reached out to ignored her. There was some weird beef between her and Brianna Wu that marginalized her from the trans community somehow, but I don't know the full story. Honestly KiwiFarms had the least to do with her death.
 
I find it funny my comment about how the goon communist would all stave/suffer under a communist state was responded to.

It's an obscure people-watching forum that specifically tells you at the top of each page "DON'T TAP ON THE GLASS". If people talking about someone on it is somehow "causing misery and annoyance" then it says infinitely more about the person who gets upset over it than the people who point and laugh.
 
I use their "assigned" name because I refuse to play into their special snowflake make-believe world. There are two genders and you're born into one. Everything else is mental illness and I haven't seen enough proof for the contrary. Quite the opposite even.

The nice thing is I can say it here in the open even though there are people on these very forums that disagree with me and I know disagree with me. I can respect their opinion even though I think they are very, very wrong. That is what tolerance actually is about. Not some 1984esque witch-hunt where you get ousted for wrongthink.

On the other hand, I would certainly hope that abusive predators like Mike Holland are caused "misery and annoyance" by virtue of their threads on here.

There's massive amounts of research that say the contrary. While opinions like this are annoying it isn't for the reasons you believe. It's more like it's akin to arguing with a creationist than anything else. Gender research isn't all women's studies or feminism but actual STEM people attempting to study the neurological mysteries of being human and it's overwhelmingly agreed upon that gender is a more complex thing than "vagina or dick equals man or woman".
