The anime fandom is awful I was into it back in late 1990s and the more anime weebs I met the more I just gave up any association well that and growing up.

One memory I have is like in the mid to late 00s in some thread outing a pedo not even a goon just some pedo a poster in the thread basically "came out" as a pedo and got banned.

I haven read adtrw in over a decade but once back 2003 they had a short list of anime that people couldn' talk about one was flcl and I figured the rule was because it was popular and done to death.

Fuck lowtax should just ban all anime but that pizza cats one he jokes about and call it a day.

This time last year there was routinely around 6,000 members logged in during the busiest times. Lately I’ve noticed the logged in users is closer to 4,500 but will occasionally touch 5,000 briefly.

Back when i was on SA (1999-2007) it was never below 10,000. You would comment on a hot GBS thread and you would refresh to like 6 new replies while your shitty dial up submitted your post.

I remeber someone on TNE putting memebership decline on a simple chart and it showed about 6% less every year. So he is in pretty big trouble in about 2 years, he will have alot less paypigs to squeeze as time goes on.

Im still optimistic the site will close down or sell before 2020 and lowtax will disappear to the many trailer parks of lee's summit.

SA will coast on sheer momentum until Low-T is retirement age in another 20 years, and probably longer.
That is provided he doesn't do anything dumb that makes checking the forums an inconvenience (like monthly subs, etc). I'm figuring this is probably Stopped-Clock vs. any sort of business savy, but I think if he did move to Xenforo, unless he can get a 1:1 reskin to match current SA, he'll lose people he can't afford to lose. So his delaying moving to Xenforo is probably helping keep the site's numbers up.

It nice to imagine Dear Richard having to actually go out and get a job, but SA has been fading hard since the late-aughts, and has been "going to die in the next few months" since 2005.

Remember, SA isn't in trouble. It is still making 3x its hosting costs, and since the staff are only paid in e-peen points and not actual currency, hosting is the only expense. But 3x hosting costs isn't enough to pay for Low-T's life style & GTR lease. That's the only issue the site is facing.

He'll also get a nice check when his mom kicks it. So inheritance + SA's declining revenues + quarterly pity-milking goons will last him long enough to be able file for early retirement. And probably 4-5 years of Ashlii getting some menial office drone job until she divorces him.
Provided he doesn't die before then due to complications from decades of Bum Wine & Ambien abuse. Or from living the goon life for 4 decades.

He will have to squeeze his paypigs really hard to make it that far. Most of his cash goes to chinkwife,mongrel kids and back taxes...he has very little for his lifestyle anymore.. We will see...maybe if he changes everybodies avatar to trump again.
