Lol lowtax actually did something good. Hope that banned person comes back and accuses lowtax of being a Nazi chud

I don't have the post offhand, but someone actually did that already.

Though for years Lowtax has been vocal about his dislike of the political forums in general.

For all that though (and I agree with you statement) he sure let some loathsome r*tards run D&D and CSPAM, who catered to the absolute worst posters on the site

edit: i should be specific, R Guyovich might be the worst mod of any forum I've ever seen

In earnest maybe 3 or 4 months ago, with a crescendo around the time of the pearl-clutching over children in detention. It's been kind of humming along for some time at a low level, but it was normally probations rather than bans.

As we talk about TT it does stand out the creativity that can happen when the mods tolerate gimmcks that try to skirt the line. This openly banning for "your awful and I don't like you"

Idiots on Social Media in PYF is basically the lefty politics lite thread. Every post is fucking political and every poster seems to be a tranny. You legit get chain probated for saying trans women are raised differently than cis women and other such mild wrongthink.

The only reason I still visit SA is the r/relationship thread but goons somehow ruin laughing at retarded redditor's.

Lowtax made a thread making fun of Youtube personalities getting burnt out in their 20s.

It's as bitter and jealous as you'd think.

What makes Lowtax so goddamn annoying is that he had his chance. He was at the right place at the right time with somethingawful back then. He squandered it. There were so many possibilities to expand that "Web 1.0 giant" into more just simply by having a proper paid staff and investing some of that money he made back instead of wasting it on his own vanity but he didn't. Dude could be a millionaire now. Have several companies around that whole social thing. There were tons of talented people on old SA and also tons of good ideas.

He didn't realize the potential, he was like some random jokel that won the lottery, perfectly content in his little online fiefdom, only surrounding himself with yes-men whose whole merit depended on their dick-sucking skills. Then when stuff faded like it does he attempted to recreate the success he had with the latest buzzwords like "podcast" and "youtube channel". Things were different this time around. He wasn't a pioneer and his and his brands name simply wasn't big enough anymore. It would've taken hard work for even only modest success and because of his inflated ego he legit didn't get why success wouldn't repeat itself like with the beginning of SA if he just made an attempt. Now it's too late for him. He still doesn't get it, just feeling that life is unfair to him. I don't think his ego will ever allow him to understand more.

Do the troons still use that stupid
biotruths.001.gif
smilie to try and attack people? God that was dumb.

Somebody actually paid $29.95 to make that a smilie so they could use it to snarkily disregard anything or anyone who thinks there's a biological difference between the sexes. Or, you know, just disagrees with a troon.

It's still used all the time, but since it's a circle jerk where nobody is allowed to talk about anything, the amount of actual cases where it gets used have dwindled somewhat.

Lowtax never tried because SA brought in $500k+ for a few years during its heyday and he thought that was the floor for future earnings so why bother with anything else? It's also why he never sold it.

I figured he never sold it was because when he had any serious offers on it he would of had to give half the money to chink wife? it's just a theory and probably just a small part of why he never sold. he has a standing offer of 50k from a SS member who would totally buy it if he would sell it.

The guy who absolutely refuses to get a job after decades of not working isn't going to sell out for what SA is actually worth (<$100,000.) He needs enough income to last the rest of his life and will never forget when he was offered millions for the forums. I bet if you got the stupid fuck to stop being lolrandom irreverent and pathetically 50 and wacky long enough to speak seriously about the subject he would want at least a million.

How long Something Awful lasted without supervision is a testament to the kind of opportunity he squandered. Not only did the community create itself and it's own content it survived 20 years of a long line of thought police banning tens of thousands of people while the parasitic sentient jewfro owner absorbed every spare molecule of profit and invested nothing in anything while doing and changing nothing.

If the forums didn't have to support Lowtax's entire life and multiple families they probably would be profitable indefinitely just from the existing group of autists that refuse to stay banned and buy avatars/banner ads when their fee fees get hurt. I think if his bank accounts were setup correctly he could die and it would be a net positive for everyone since tens of thousands of surplus would be directed toward future hosting costs instead of enabling an unemployed alcoholic to have 50 children and pitbulls.
