Sense of pride? It's a fucking messageboard, and the front page has been an embarrassment most people would rather forget exists for at least the last decade. The front page isn't even a place aspiring writers can hope to get noticed anymore. It needs to die.

This a good idea in theory, but I doubt it would change anything for SA. There's no financial incentive for the mods/admins to foster a large community or care about who actually spends money. They'd prefer to continue to whittle down the scant remaining user base to only those they like. They want it to be a small, private club. FAU and others have said before that they see their role as curators of the dialogue, and not just simply to enforce the rules (as opposed to successful web forums). And LowT doesn't have the will or the balls to oppose them.
 
Please post the eventual WACKY ZANY and not at all butthurt ban message when lowtax bans Daddy Anime. tia.

I'm pretty sure Radium coded everything equally terribly and it's an impossible system to fix because Lowtax is a bloated parasite sucking up every scrap of profit the forum makes. They just have to permaban the people talking about this and swear that it is a conspiracy theory so that nobody knows they probably have a plaintext log of credit card info designed by a idiot freelancer in the 1990s that could get Lowtax sued into oblivion or something.

I mean, nobody wants to reg on SA to begin with so imagine what would happen to Lowtax if he admitted to the people dumb enough to keep paying him that everyone's information is insecure. That would be the end of his free ride.

SA uses an external payment processor like most cheapass ecommerce sites do. They can't steal your credit card because they never actually have it.

If I'm remembering my SA lore correctly, the data collection used to be done on the SA side & passed along so they used to have your credit card number at least long enough to pass it to the processor. This was changed when their processor offered a better API and Radium was able to write code to take advantage of it.
I think. I very well might be getting my "websites run on shitty spaghetti code" mixed up.
 
people are literally giving you free content for the front page, like the Photoshop and Goldmine threads. If you are too lazy to update it yourself pay one of your good frontpage writers a little more

Does Lowtax pay the front page writers literally anything? And any plan that relies on Lowtax not being lazy is doomed to failure.

It had occurred to me that I should send a note to LowT letting him know I was done because of the terrible moderation in D&D, essentially that it has become the hardcore tankie HQ on the internet. Then I realized that he's a drug addled drunk and probably wouldn't even recognize the irony of literal communists ruining his income stream. Now, instead of contemplating that, i'm wondering how much it would cost to get a couple botnets rented out to consume his bandwidth and drive him out of business faster than it's naturally happening

That's funny. Because Low-T showed up on last week's episode of The Dick Show, and he made a half-hearted, self-serving offer to Asterios to pay him for front page freelance writing... while making sure to also mention he was drowning in impossible amounts of credit card debt.

God bless Dick and company for being so good-humored and gracious, because Lowtax's entire appearance was a shitshow. I was going to post about it last week, but I noticed nobody else had mentioned it and figured nobody cared.

I think something got said to Jose along the line cause when he first started he was slightly different then a bunch of the QQCS crew started calling him an alt-right nazi or whatever after that he started changing a lot.

RIP guy who's been crying about Donald Trump for literally 3 years now in every thread even vaguely related. He's posted multiple threads in QCS demanding that any and all right wing posters get permabanned.

After getting probated for 6 hours in QCS he spammed a thread in there with giant images and started whining about some GBS guy.
