It's also Lowtax's main source of income, so he needs people buying enough shit to support 1 and a half families on top of whatever it costs to keep the forums online.

Either he's lying about the financial state of the forums, or his parents/Ashli's parents are giving them money.

It's degenerative and doesn't require any trauma or injury since it's just a breakdown of the joints from simply operating. Also tens of millions of people have it and he should have been getting surgeries and doing physical therapy years ago. Instead he laid on a couch until his limbs quit working because the bone spurs are so bad they are now interfering with his nerves and damaging his discs.

Unfortunately for Lowtax this isn't going to go away, the surgeries are only going to address some of the symptoms and he will need them periodically in addition to physical therapy. What he needs is a job with health insurance but it looks like he would rather try and scam the idiots on his forums by making everyone think that he is simultaneously paying to keep them open with a magical source of personal money after 20 years of unemployment and that giving him money is helping the forums somehow.

It's working because every thread I read has someone acting like Lowtax was struck down in honorable combat and needs everyone to come together to stop Something Awful's imminent shutdown. Really they are going to be brought down because Lowtax is a giant parasite that has refused to develop them and siphons all of the funding into his lazy addict lifestyle and dumb decisions.

I stand corrected; my information on this comes from A) A circa 2009 self-aggrandizing article about Goonfleet/Mitani and something circa....2015? Around the time GoonFleet was getting raped and lost pretty much all their territory - from write up from some ex-goonwaffe & another EVE turbo sperg (and I think some sort of wiki) about how the Goons' eve domination wasn't anything special, they just claimed to have been the first to have done this or that.

He may not be lying. If you read any of Lowtax's beg threads he says things like

"The forums revenue is down 88%! I took $10,000 out of my retirement to pay bills"

He never specified what bills he was paying and he never said the forums were operating at a loss. Everyone just assumes that because of how dead the forums are and the story being passed around is that SA is on the verge of shutdown because Lowtax can no longer valiantly pay their huge operating costs with his magical source of money.

He has already said in another beg thread that the forums pay their hosting costs but it takes "half of the month." So the problem here is that Richard Kyanka can't pay his medical bills and raise two families on the profit he gets from the forums, and he has the people on the forums believing that they are contributing to his medical woes by costing him money. He isn't about to correct anyone either.

Also that $3,400 figure has been on the login screen for more than a decade from the time when traffic was 5x higher.

Goons have thrown probably a couple thousand dollars at him now. I'm eager to see what happens when he just pockets that money and takes the medical bills as debt then shows up begging because he can't pay for his weekly physical therapy or numerous follow up surgeries.

He specifically said in the Gaming Garbage fundraiser announcement that "I'll be unable to do anything for six goddamn weeks, and I'm so broke that I'm pulling out of my retirement to run this joint, so please come to the Gaming Garbage Live Fundraiser for MY BROKEN NECK today at 6:30 PM CST! All money raised goes mostly to Google, but then me. Then the government and insurance companies. Soon I will be naked and have to wear a barrel with suspenders."

Goons have already made at least a few thousand dollars worth of donations/purchases in Pick's thread alone, so the tactic has worked this time around. It's not going to work month in, month out into the future though.

I've only ever seen like one or two of her episodes, I almost think it's more of a BYOB thing or something (maybe PM's) and I never venture into that hive of scum and villainy.

She was obsessed with a guy who wasn't into her and spent years trying to change his mind. That led to an enormous amount of threads getting derailed by her to talk about the object of her obsession in addition to threads started by her to do the same.

The guy who didn't want her is a cripple, which only made the whole thing more hilarious/pathetic.

At some point her crazy stopped being confined to BYOB and leaked into GBS, where she had several meltdowns when goons told her she was crazy. She flounced more than once. She got a fair bit of mod protection because she's RL friends with Troposphere.

Yeah she has derailed countless threads to talk about this fucking guy that wants nothing to do with her and spends most of her time having meltdowns about men.

One of the better threads on SA about the reddit relationships section is pretty hard to read because she has like 10,000 posts in it and either rants about how all men are animal rapists and all women have to live in fear of murder and rape or how amazing this cripple that kept telling her to fuck off was. She overshares about her life so much that everyone knows way too many details about her obsession with this cripple.

To make matters worse she posted pictures that proved she is a skinny blonde so if you try to tell her to stop chimping out about all men being rapists or to stop the week long derails about the cripple whiteknight goons dogpile you. She also attracted other radical feminists so for awhile in the relationships thread everytime someone posted a story they would line up to lecture everyone on why everything was the mans fault. Story about a woman beating a man and him being too embarassed to seek help? He probably deserved it and will never know the true fear of being a woman that is about to be raped at all times.

Yep that's Pick alright. The guy told her to fuck off years ago but all she can do is vent publicly about this guy telling everyone everything about how she can't get over him. She just parachutes into every thread and starts talking about how she has years old energy drinks he gave her to remember him by and tells everyone he once crawled under a truck to get away from her when she tried to fuck him.

"I'm going to keep fighting for someone I actually love." This is the prequel to a news article about a murder suicide.
