Here's the other posts from Something Sensitive if you don't feel like digging for them and also feel like reading the worst things in the world. My personal "favorite" is when one of their surgeons sends a text that it's alright for his boyfriend girlfriend to stick it in just two months after SRS (because real trained medical professionals communicate over text messages and sends a winking emoji with it) and then the subsequent post where he tries to hide that it made his bleeding wound even worse by claiming it was caused by him "dilating too hard."

Also good god does the word "dilating" come up a lot in these.

Besides being completely fitting with the purpose of that feature, the resulting fallout would go a long way to restoring his identity as a comedian. Also it is completely fitting.

Yeah. The first post you posted has the "This first part of the journey is the hardest, I'm 10 months in and hope I'm near bottom" and that second post they just outright want to kill themselves.

Also in that crotch mutilation post they said they couldn't even bring themselves to look at their crotch and were suicidal as well.

On the something sensitive thread they said that the rotcrotch guy actually had a gofundme for his surgery so they definitely are encouraging each other. The deaths are worth it though because you wouldn't want to allow such alt-right hate speech as suggesting a mental health evaluation before irreversible and unnatural surgery.

As far as I can tell, the only resistance his wife (or "wife" since he's married to a fellow troon) put up was to tell him he needs to transition Bruce Jenner-style and get his hormones and plastic surgery taken care of before he starts parading around in public as a lady and demanding everyone call him Helen.

Considering that he's like 6 ft and 300 lbs, that's actually sensible advice that may spare him quite a bit of mockery and public humiliation. But telling him to dress like Ellen Degeneres for a year until he gets his beard lasered and his brow shaved down is equivalent to literally murdering him with her internalized transphobia.

Not only that, but he still trusts the quack who did it to him. He saw a real doctor who examined him in person and basically said he was dying, meanwhile the lunatic who sliced him up in the first place just sends a text message, probably without even seeing the literal wound, and tells him it's all good with a winky face. Something so unprofessional, even the guy who paid to get mutilated thought it was off-putting.

I can't emphasize this enough. He gave a diagnosis via a text message with a winky face. probably without even taking so much as a wayward glance. Even if the surgeon wasn't a quack, it doesn't qualify him to make that kind of judgment, he's just a plastic surgeon. And this dolt somehow values this quack's opinion over his primary care physician, so much that he took the surgeons advice and ruined himself even further.

If you want my opinion, I think he only listened to the surgeon because he said exactly what he wanted to hear, a process known as "doctor shopping." Of course, if you ever posted trying to warn him, you'd probably get banned for not being supportive, even though I would personally rank somebody not dying higher than not hurting their feelings. Maybe I'm just the weird one?

His surgeon was Marci Bowers, who is a ob/gyn as well as a surgeon. Her medical credentials are fine and she is one of the most experienced GRS surgeons in the US, but she's become something of a celebrity in part because she is trans herself.

I would take anyone's recounting of their interactions with doctors with a grain of salt. Someone is going to be that person who gets complications and needing revisions to SRS is common.

I'm also not sure why you think surgeons (let alone plastic surgeons) are less qualified than primary care physicians. No doctors specialise until after they have first qualified as general physicians.

I didn't know he was working with Marci Bowers, I must've missed that, so thanks for pointing it out. That makes them complaining about the long wait times for SRS sound less nonsensical.

I was working under the assumption that he was using some surgeon out of country, since it's expensive in America and insurance doesn't tend to cover SRS unless you see a therapist who diagnoses you with gender dysphoria, which is invariably seen as an oppressive and highly inconvenient process by these people.

As for qualifications, it's my understanding that plastic surgeons undergo a basic overview of medical knowledge before having training which exclusively focuses on plastic surgery and plastic surgery practices. Versus one who becomes a primary care physician has more experience, knowledge, and training with medical diagnostic processes required over a general practitioner or those in more specialized fields such as cosmetic surgery. Still, you're correct and I was speaking needlessly hyperbolically, but I still trust a primary care physician's diagnosis more than I would a plastic surgeon's.

It's also easy to feel incredulous towards a surgeon who sees a patient that describes their crotch as looking like a bloody ham sandwich that exploded and tells them they're in perfect condition.
