Lowtax is not gonna do anything that means he has to do something. Eventually the Forums won't pay for themselves and he's gonna shut them down or sell them off to some idiot tranny which will turn SA into SJW-Central officially. Much whining and trashing by Lowtax will ensue and it'll be funny.

See, that would be cool. Imagine reading a stupid post and clicking the little green frog button to rate it "Get out!" or something like that. And it would get rid of the situation I hated where goons would keep quoting your post 5, even 10 pages later just to chastise you for wrongthink. Just downvote, and move on. But then again the official SA rule is "if you don't like a thread, rate '1' and move on" and we see how well that worked.

I can see it being horribly abused though. Like maybe only troons and POCs being allowed to negrate posts, or bans for rating mod posts dumb. Or the mods and woke crew ganging up on people who rate wrong. Imagine the triggering if you were allowed to vote "disagree" on communist stuff.

You'd probably only be allowed to give positive or neutral ratings. And that still wouldn't work. Remember the guy here who had a massive meltdown over people rating him autistic?

They'd find a way to fuck it up, twist it, and bring it in line with the current forum environment and mindset, not use it to change things and improve the atmosphere.
They'd routinely take a look at users' stats and start raking over the coals any user who didn't give enough positive ratings to certain threads/posts.

Can you imagine the debacle that post ratings would turn into on SA?
You'd imagine it could be a source of revenue, you could pay for one-time ratings such as paying a dollar to rate someone's post super duper awesome, and have platinum-only ratings, or even do it like reddit gold where it expires after a time, but it would actually turn into a huge slapfight and anyone daring to click "disagree" on a mod's post would get chins wobbling in disapproval across the land.

You'd imagine it could be a source of revenue, you could pay for one-time ratings along the same road as reddit gold, and have platinum-only ratings, but it would actually turn into a huge slapfight and anyone daring to click "disagree" on a mod's post would get chins wobbling in disapproval across the land.
Something Awful already has banned people for poor spelling, disagreeing, or starting threads with the word "so." I can imagine their mods banning people for a single, innocent rating. Like banning each and every person who hits "agree" on a post they dislike.

As mentioned by others, admins have banned people for voting their threads "1" so they have form. Even if they weren't "supposed" to ban people for that reason, they'll just do what Abe did, and earmark that person for future banning next time they commit some minor infraction, or go digging for something ban-worthy. Admins and mods keeping shitlists is so prevalent on SA they might as well make it a feature in the forum software to keep track of it.

To be honest one of the rules I liked on SA was the "this is not AIM make an effort in your writting!" Same with the "no chat logs"

but at some point the mods became crazy cat ladies.

that really was the best rule. Toxxing kids for trying to get goons to do their homework was also good.
At one point “join 4 game” accounts got wrecked too. Last time I looked the only game with a goon presence is eve and they might as well not be goons anymore.

looks like lowtax is getting ready to bounce again, but before he leaves he wants goons to know he’s flat broke and still can’t pay his taxes. Also, his wife has lupus and the donation link is at the top of the page.

He doesn’t like have a laptop and WiFi?

Bitch your job is running a website. You ain’t exactly John Henry the Steel Driving Man.

Lay in bed and make money.

He came back to bilk a few hundo or whatever he could from goons after his latest twitter banning. The donations stopped so he’s leaving again.

If only there was a way LowT could have possibly avoided all these medical bills, like possibly not being a pillhead for two decades?

Is only there had been a way for Lowtax to not have built up an incredible tolerance to pain meds before he really needed them...

Oh he's whining why he can't do <thing>, that's something new right there. Maybe he's aiming for disability?

Hey, whoa! Let's not have that sort of dishonest a-logging shit around here.
You forgot the cheap boxed wined he was drinking while being a pill head for two decades.

edit:
YOUR POISON SPINE IS MAKING THE O.R. TOO FUCKING CROWDED
I'd tweet it too him...but oh wait

It always seems like "self-employed internet content creators" always run into medical issues of some sort that delay whatever they're doing. I'd be able to fund my own kickstarter if I had $1 for every kickstarter update that contained the words "medical issues". Are people just that fucking sick all the time? I've never run into that problem in the working world. I only see it when looking at "content creators".

Patreon doesn't provide health insurance.

Not trying to seem like I'm defending Lowtax or whatever, but I've been around "content creators" for a big part of my life. There have been many who are self-employed and make enough money to meet their minimum financial obligations, but not much beyond that. They did not have any sort of health insurance because of this, so when they'd get sick it would literally ruin everything. They'd fall into debt, become unable to pay their bills, and then this horrible feedback loop of depression and lack of ability to continue creating the content that paid for their livelihood would kick in. (But you're also right, there are also a suspicious number of people who hide behind it to avoid accountability.)

Basically what I'm saying is Lowtax appears to be in the exact same life situation as people who made a living by only being "sort of" good at drawing animal penises.
