Now that he is no longer a mod, he doesn't even have trooned-out goons sucking up to him anymore, his life is probably already a worse kind of hell than we could ever create for him. Shitty dildos and all.
The shitty redesigned "mobile friendly" website is still horrifically broken but I was like "what the fuck sloggy type stuff made them quit 6 pages in?"
Oh yeah, it's a brief gag about a characters arms not being visible.
FAKE AND GAY! FAKE AND GAY! LIAR!
It's like how people lie about being talked about on here or 4chan and just expect nobody to actually check lmao.
What do you mean? I was talking about how the guy you brought up in your post is fucking lying about reading homestuck because 6 pages in is literally just "haha no arms" joke and not a screed of any kind.
Not what you're asking for but I remember DocEvil used to make some very good star trek fyad banner gifs. I think theres a youtube video that put them together but like all things, was edited poorly.
Richard Kyanka is dead, and that's still really awesome and hilarious. The Internet makes you stupid glad that a dude who paid a tranny to shit on a glass topped table over his face is now dead.
It wasn't about freedom then, it was about content.
Everyone can (and often did) make websites but rarely were they ever worth spending time on. SA (for a young Tanner Glass) was the first place you could go and actually spend a fair bit of time reading interesting things. With the huge volume of people there was a huge volume of content - which was something that hadn't really existed prior. It was generally me at work going "I'm bored, let me read this 200 page thread of what it was like to be a Chicago Cop in the 70s and 80s" and then just repeating that for a few years. It was the first place where more content was getting pumped in then I could possibly pump out.
Now that's everywhere - that's Youtube, and Twitch, and Reddit, and so on - so I guess it would be similar to whatever first triggered that feeling in yourself but just in a way where it really wasn't a normal thing at the time. It wasn't like Kiwi Farms, strictly in a sense that posting on SA was never any kind of "adversarial" action - even if most people leave the site and don't talk about it anymore.
