As usual, all it takes is for someone to "shit up" the thread enough, or for a mod to hide it from Daddy Lowtax somewhere.

"Comedy Goldmine" is perhaps the most likely scenario, then the mod can pretend to respect Lowtax somewhat.

This shit is why SA is dying.

Just replace them with a reporting system like on YouTube.
It's unfair and retarded, but so are SA mods.

Main advantage: it's automated and you only need to intervene when the poster asks for a reversal of the ban.
Basically @Lowtax and his wife could run SA by themselves.

I've never seen it this openly. To be purely honest @buffaloWildWings ' suggestion of just automating mods and admins just being Lowtax and Lady Ambien is probably the best option, because it seems no one on the forums can get any amount of power over other posters without becoming a tremendously petty fuck-up

I can see their point a little bit though. They're spending hours a day running another man's business for a free so he can sit around all day abusing ambient and tweet. They're not doing it out of the goodness of their heart. They're doing it because they want to have control over the place and now Lowtax is threatening to neuter them. These are unveiled threats that if he doesn't go away his free employees are leaving.

The only question is who blinks? My bet is on Lowtax since he isn't willing to spend the weekend it will take to clean house and make a set of rules for mods to rule by.
