You can mix your voice and being that anime voices are not natural sounding voices to start, you kind of sorta can get it to work. Troon voices still sound faker than normal because they're already doing an impersonation on top of then edging their impersonated voice and mannerisms further into what they think they should ideally sound like.

Left to their own devices and with nobody correcting them, they'll wind up sounding like late stage Michael Jackson during casual conversations.
 
There is one VTuber who was involved in the VTuber crossover drama with the Arcadum #metooing who was a tranny using Text-to-Speech. They were not exactly hiding the fact they were a dude but its simps were still going on about "muh speech disorder" and "not letting creeps trace their voice".

Every person who has given money to a vtuber and not at least gotten a personalized JOI audio out of it needs to be rounded up and euthanized for the good of the species.

I've only seen clips of them here and there, but do you think they're living out being a girl fantasies? I kind of just assume they're mostly in it for grifting money from internet dorks. Maybe that's too cynical of a take about it though.

Probably depends on the person. There's actual women who hopped on the bandwagon too cause it's trendy now and it probably helped out their views.

They stopped using the term ages ago, but especially by 2014 when it had made the jump from Something Sensitive to the rest of the internet to describe the stereotypical AGP tranny you see on the internet.
