They weren't constantly at each other's throats as much as one or two posters would fling feces towards each other and fall back when the fireworks began.

At some dire point in late 2001 or early 2002, FYAD transformed; from being a forum where you would actually "call out and flame" someone you disagreed with on any forum, into a subforum host of cliques which, in due time, developed their own codes and unspoken rules. Try as he could, Lowtax would grant them favors, but would never be fully allowed to partake on their jokes (bad and poor) or genius trolling schemes (rare). And because GBS was the main sewage/cesspit linking most subforums, he devised a way to have his own personal playpen for ego stroking. That was one of the reasons BYOB was begotten, and for a while it was terrible, and titherto insufferable and dumb.
The satellite IRC channels companion to the forums thence, attest to these records, but I can't be assed to look them up for they are stupid in their scope and useless in their tale.
 
Yeah, as I remember it, Lowtax got really buttmad about being trolled in FYAD constantly, so he ran off & created BYOB as a place for everyone to be "chill", which led to a bunch of incredibly gay goon bandwagoning, as such things do.
 
For all that, I still think FYAD did a good thing when it called out its rejects who fled to Twitter when they dogpiled on a 12 year old, or called out Doobie's Dog House as retarded, or laughing Abe out of the forums. It was a pretty important release valve for when the forums reached peak dysfunction, and it was pretty great when FYAD told Lowtax to fuck off after he brought FYAD back, just to have someone on his website jack him off again.

FYAD is likely going to be on its way out again, sooner or later. All it needs is a sufficiently clout obsessed sociopath ala Koala's March to work up the troons, and Jeffrey will easily fold. And even if he doesn't fold, SA already did the unthinkable by deciding that they couldn't downplay too many domestic abuse allegations. Jeffrey's exalted position as webmaster of their dying hugbox isn't so sacred anymore. Sooner or later things will come to a head and either FYAD will be shuttered through sufficient concern trolling or Jeffrey will face a mass revolt.

Lowtax's own fall from grace culminating in a suicide is simultaneously really funny and really predictable, but I'm really impressed by how much of an about face his cultists did. Another domestic abuse allegation was just a drop in the bucket, anytime people criticized Lowtax offsite goons would stick their fingers in their ears and assume it's all slander because it was said by internet enemies. Abe, one of the unfunny faggots driven off the forums after he tried to dox a 12 year old, managed to slink back and slip almost $2500 into Lowtax's patreon during his begathon in 2019.

Really curious about the terrible shit that people didn't really know about, here. Did he know about that stuff before he gave Lowtax $2420.69 for a supposedly bad back and a lame sob story about how everyone keeps on abusing his trust?

Normally, it would be just another drop in the bucket, but the accusation that made it stick was made by a woman BPD enough to seem attainable to the average goon.

The reason Bogan Lay got Lowtax cucked off his own forums was no one was ready to take a shot at the big man when he was abusing his wife, but they had their knives ready when his toes got sweaty and the trailer-park romance took its natural conclusion. Koala's mooch tried to step during the FYAD Trans Crisis, but the community wasn't backing her then.

It was never about principals or morality, it was about if they could use the situation to their advantage.
