Abe forgot he couldn't arbitrarily ban people for "sass", memory-hole posts or threads, that no one gave a fuck about who he was becaue he held no powerful outside of the confines of a gay, dying forum, and his toadies were worthless morons once they can't summon someone to moderate out wrongthink and it was great.
 
Abe was also apparently good enough friends with Aatrek that they'd go cosplaying to Star Trek conventions together. And considering that Aatrek literally went to prison for child rape, Abe's attempts at joking about a minor's genitals suddenly get even more uncomfortable than they already are.

When 4chan was founded, they fiercely hated SA for a wide variety of reasons, most of which because they had been banned from ADTRW at some point. The hate boner from SA was a response to that.

The difference is that in 2019, 4chan has grown to the point where its SA origins are irrelevant to most of them. But SA culture has stagnated since around 2010, and thus they’re stuck in this “we still hate 4chan” mentality

What was the culture clash that got proto weebs kicked off the anime sub?

Its not like thiers a AI off shoot.

SA is like a slow burning reset area. They keep eating eachother for not being pure enough also, i saw metokurs mocking of the DSA which i really recommend because FAU was defending his support of that org.

It was the time before anime was as popular as it is now and on some sites weebs had the same reputation as furries.

In 2003 there was a large crackdown on SA's undesirables, including people who were into loli stuff.

This resulted in everyone on ADTRW being treated like a possible pedophile so bans were being handed out left and right. The actual pedos like Marshal Banana didn't help.

At the same time moot and Shii launched 4chan because they were fascinated by 2channel.

No threads have gone into archives since May or July of 2014. Nothing has left the live forums in five years. GBS as it exists now under forum id #273 instead of id #1 has every thread ever posted in it live and unarchived. You might be able to find the 2014 elections thread in D&D.

And this is why I remind everyone that SA pretty much made "weebs" a thing as we know today. Those same SA weebs ironically made "bronies" a thing on /tv/ as well.

IIRC it was an ImpZone poster who inadvertantly got MLP banned from SA. They remade the OP and goons couldn't behave themselves in the thread, despite the Impzone OP making the thread in earnest. Thus it spread to 4chan since Goons can't think of anything past their backyard. I think the OP also got perma'd over it, and ponies being banned I think was one of the catalysts which lead to people investigating Aatrek.

Now it's been 10 years and the reboot is of MLP is on the horizon.

Much like everything in a Goon's life, they fail because they're so short sighted.
