Lowtax's turn to twitter communism is especially funny considering the cause of his financial problems. Back when SA was especially profitable around 2006-2008, the site was going through a major lolbertarian phase and Lowtax spent his income on a sports car instead of such mere suggestions as "child support" or "taxes."

"The mods didn't drive them away! They went to twitter." he says when there's a million different offsite SA spinoffs
22,000 is just the amount of killed accounts. How many of the 100,000 that went to twitter did so because of your moderators? Just because it's your mismanagement Lowtax doesn't mean it isn't important.
My guess is that they’re going to get rid of Trump’s twitter account around Christmas, for massive virtuesignaling. And that will be the end of twitter as a platform, because Trump has the federal government at his disposal and he’s not exactly a “forgive and forget” guy.People who left Something Awful because it was becoming too much of a hugbox to go to Twitter are going to be disappointed, because Twitter is squeezing about as tight as an iron lung.
I think this is the inevitable fate of most social networks that aren't completely broad-based like Facebook. The people most dependent on the functions of the site will fight the hardest to ensure that only they benefit from it.
