I often see similarities, between A&H and D&D.

I was there when D&D started to radicalize themselves, certain things became a "given" and when a someone disagreed their would be hostility.

Which is not only euro cope, but looking at their other posts, is likely just an attempt at distracting themselves from their own failing life.

Pretty much. They're different but it's a similar feeling to me.

I think the main difference was SA was safely connected to my general online identity and you could play MMOs together etc. without worrying about opsec. With KF it's strictly separate.

This is not unique to SA, it's doomerism in general. Life didn't work out for you? It's not you, it's this HELLWORLD in which you were cursed to be born. 99-04 or so you could say what you wanted as long as you didn't misspell stuff and used proper grammar for the most part. Like generally the rules were "don't post like you're on Gamefaqs". It was generally pretty libertarian in that time.

The hivemind stuff tended to kick in a bit stronger around 04-05 range after the cat ladies took hold once Lowtax stopped paying attention so much and was just raking in cash while guzzling wine and ambien. The problem never was GBS really early on it was D&D / FYAD / LF showing up stirring shit with gay ops making an apparent hive mind after a certain point.

GBS was more a mix of General and A&N early on, there were quite a few different characters there in the early years that were all over the place in how they'd act. Like you'd see a mix of genuinely funny stuff with the news and there were a bit of differences of opinion, least before it went to shit which is kinda arguable about when it got really bad. Basically the hivemind wasn't that bad til the super-liberal types got in.

But yeah after about 08-09 the social justice stuff (trannies) was infecting the place mostly starting in like LF as almost a joke for a second before it became serious. It was some wild shit to see how the culture got shifted over just a handful of years.

Somewhere around then Lowtax wandered in and saw how strict things got and the Halloween post (I think that's when it happened) but it was basically like "lol you can say anything you want in GBS now" which probably made the mods mad as fuck cause people were saying nigger getting probation from mods then getting the probes undone by Lowtax. He kinda did that for a day or so then things were slightly less strict for a min after.

Eventually though it got the faggots whining in QCCC's and D&D/CSPAM and shit went back to what it was like before that, but worse.

I left around the time the mods start doing cover-up stuff on shit Shmorky got into.
 
KF can't be SA when it was good; nothing can be SA when it was good because SA had such little competition.

RIP tot he recently Hottub'd Matthew Perry; something like 45% percent of American households tuned in to watch the Friends finale. Until the Emergency Broadcast System message about WWIII, you will never have anything 45% of the population watches together at the same time - too many options, too much streaming, and nothing to really grip audience's attentions.
This not because Friends was a good show, but it just didn't have much in the way of competition when it started and outlived the small amount it did. It was a cultural force because of the circumstances when it started. You could have made a show just as "good", with a cast that gelled just as well, have it debut after Friends ended and it'd have never reached the mindspace that show did.

The internet has changed even more now. Even if you were able to exactly recreate SA and establish it as a "Special Historical Web 1.0 Posting Zone" where it was impossible for wrongthink posts to end up on Twitter/Reddit for trannies to reee at and a soothing subliminal tone played when the tab was opened that forced people viewing the site to unclench their panties, and everytime you logged in there was a blockchain-verified QR code from a verified black person, proving that you have been given a 24-hour N-word pass... you'd never recapture all the creatives.

Why post your photoshops & funny memes to SA when you can post them to Reddit and get 100x the audience. Why bother writing a videogame review for free when you can upload to Youtube and get paid. Why post about transitioning when you can just 41% yourself, etc.

Anyway,

SA was a very unique product of the late 90s/early 2000s internet and there won't ever be anything like it ever again. KF is not really similar at all.
