On it's face, sure.
But how? Something Awful offers literally nothing for users that they can't find better and for free elsewhere and it's not like what's left of the community gives a shit about contributing anything to the community.
The most shocking thing about that data is that roughly 1,000 people signed up for SA inside of a year - which is more than I would have imagined to be honest. I'm sure some are ban evades/parachutes and not actual organic new users but still higher than I would have guessed.

I have to assume that a small fraction of these new registers are from new people which I find very confusing. Like how would someone even organically find the site now? If you weren't a 15-30 year old terminally online geek between 1999-2005 there is a 99% you have no clue what Somethingawful even is.
