Jeffrey said he got rid of ads as soon as he could, and no-ads option in the store was useless now and trying to figure out how to reimburse those who purchased it somehow. That was back in one of the original announcements or QCS threads.

Wasn't aware of that. When SA ad guy stopped by SoSe a few years ago he said ads were still pulling in 20-30k.

Imagine still browsing SA.
Now imagine still browsing SA without an Ad Blocker.

Lol goons are so fucking dumb. Lowtax lied to them so they donated thousands to his patreon. Now they know he’s a lying liar who made a whopping 6k a month and goons feel ripped off.

Jeffrey is now the one with the 6 grand net and suddenly it is not enough to run the site, and goons are champing at the bit to give him more money. Because he’s a truth teller I guess?

Also, not to overanalyze here, but note that Jeff-o says in there in the 2nd paragraph "100% unrelated to the initial transaction with Lowtax". Interesting word choice that seems to imply there are further payments. There is also no "forums store" money going to lowtax, but he doesn't discuss ad revenue.

But what do I know? We're just permabanned racist pantshitters who have managed to call every single scandal and hidden dealing weeks or months (and sometimes years) before it came out on SomethingAwful with enough force the mods couldn't keep it quiet. So obviously warrants no more questioning.
Sounds like he’s got recurring payments going to lowtax for the llc that come out of his personal bank account which is why he clarified that it’s separate from the sa store account. And while he does state the income and operating costs, he does not say how the rest of it gets spent. Just that it’s not enough. Hmm that sounds familiar.

For once, Lowtax GETS the allimony payments.

paying lowtax on installments makes sense, I also wonder with information coming out if lowtax will have a melt down and post emails or sales contracts...nah he would never do that, because it would make him look bad.

The other terms I find weird are "servers" is he talking about physical servers or just renting virtual servers on AWS.

It just seems in 2021 hosting a forum shouldnt cost so much cause its just text etc.

And finally to bring people back he d have to stop all the ban s +100 day bull shit hell just turn off bans and only let the mods do 7 day top probations with no chain.

And finally what can jeff sell those retards in their hug box

Last time someone was talking about it, admittedly years ago, it was physical boxes Colo'd somewhere. But the 3x op-ex was true.

SA's hosting costs is bandwidth & unoptimized backend, plus some colo fees. Someone competent could probably get that down.

A family isnt cheap, a exwife isnt cheap, alimony and back taxes arent cheap, he also rented a strip mall office and most of all he has a drug habbit and likes dah gotcha games

Actually, it is, and should be far less than what Rich was making month after month between Patreon/site revenue. People accomplish all of what you just listed, drug habit included, on far less than what he brought in monthly for a decade.

Anyone who's been holding on to daylight on the topic should just accept that Rich has always been a liar, but also a successful grifter of a community that hated him that he did no work for.

I've rarely been so impressed by hubris and disgusted by such wasted potential at the same time. Far and away the most funny part of this all to me is that Jeffrey's numbers prove that Rich obviously made enough in revenue to cover hosting costs, and the Patreon constituted free money he put in his (or his pill mill's) pocket. And, having learned this truth, the remaining goons who fell for this grift are ready to fall for it again because this time it will be different, right guys?

Doing some napkin math on Jeffrey's post means that Lowtax's SA in 2020 was easily clearing $70,000/year for free. That's more than a lot of people make working for a full year, and that's after SA's 10-15 year decline. Jesus fuck he threw away so much money.

That means if Jeffrey is dumb he could have paid $450,000 for SA - or if Lowtax was dumb he could have taken as little as $140,000-210,000 (or less).

Are they actually thinking people are about to come back? Getting randomly banned was the best moment of my SA career. Are they actually doing anything specific to attract people back or are they just convinced that its gonna "happen" now?

They give the exact same reasons for donating to Jeffrey as they did for lowtax. Even during lowtax’s begging sprees, goons said they didn’t care how the money was spent because the entertainment value was worth an extra $x per month.
Goons don’t value money at all likely because they don’t actually earn it. As long as they are spending it for entertainment and not essentials and it doesn’t go to a Bad Person it doesn't matter how much of a waste it is.

Also they are addicted to their hug box

Lowt coulda turned the forums off for a day and threatened them like they women they wish they were and come out fine he just couldnt handle them being bitches to him

Lowtax could have asked for a half mill and they would have funded a Gofundme's with their tugboats, but that would have required Lowtax to not choose the easiest possible option and also have a spine.

Jeffery is going to get back to basics, sticking to what made SA great in the first place:
Coddling troons, apologizing to furries, banning any attempts at humor that aren't sufficiently woke. Or that are sufficiently woke but make the poster look better than the mods or anger one of their toadies.

It's actually a sound business strategy. You don't need the normies. The normies don't spend money. The crazy people are the whales because they have as much sense with money as they do with anything else, so you want to pander to them constantly so they'll give you hundreds of dollars for doing literally nothing otherwise.
