I haven't seen anyone mad about being called a chud. Everyone I've seen react to it has thought it was a pisspoor insult that fails at its one job - making the recipient feel insulted.

But that doesn't mean people haven't noticed, like that SA poster noticed, that chud is another in a line of insults that is being used to dehumanise large numbers of people. Like alt-right, Gamergater, Nazi, incel, TERF and so on, a group of people who loudly and proudly trumpet their empathy and tolerance use chud to describe someone irredeemable and evil. Someone who deserves silencing, having violence committed against them, and their lives ruined.

I think of it like a pastor and his flock praying I'll go to hell. I don't care, I don't believe in hell, I don't think they have any power over me in that way. But they believe it, so while I know they're ineffective, I also know just how badly they think I should suffer because they're doing it.
To not care about it you sure wrote one hell of a *tips fedora* essay about it
Dehumanization of the other is common on the internet. where communication is reduced to a mere parody of what it is in real life, and it's not attached to any particular branch of politics, get used to it.

MageMage, everybody's favorite Person of Size, gets a month for defending Central Park Karen and Karens in general. Post is doctored for readability.

The probation reason denounced Central Park Karen's actions as "attempted murder." Considering MageMage's mental unhealth, giving him a month is probably attempted murder too.

That's exactly what a fag would say, Fag.

I could list more examples but you probably get the gist. I'm reminded of how mentally ill people in the throes of a meltdown will weaponize and/or destroy absolutely anything within reach. Goons make no distinction between "I disagree with you" and "I want to hurt you in every way I can think of," which speaks to how seriously they take their posting.

A goon I know had someone hold a grudge against her for like three or four years because she said she didn't think Fire Emblem games were hard.

Probably still has it, really.

I haven't kept it a secret that I used to post on SA. Sometimes I forget how incredibly gay it is to participate there, though.

A ton of leftists got probated for dragging their personal grudges against each other into QCS, yet again. I say "a ton" because that's what their weight most likely adds up to, at least. The probation reasons are very telling.

The fact that the concept of "posting enemies" exists at all is endlessly amusing to me, and reminds me how terrible it was to participate in any SA discussion whatsoever. Goons are extremely prone to developing intense personal grudges that are never, ever put to rest. Goons are also very easy to piss off; even something as innocuous as a factual disagreement can suddenly become a personal vendetta. Once a goon decides he has it out for you, you can expect some or all of the following to occur:

  • Attacks on your postcount (postcount used to be displayed instead of a user's regdate; they were removed because this kept fucking happening but goons will still check your profile)
  • Attacks on your regdate
  • Attacks on your avatar, title, or lack thereof
  • "Welcome to my ignore list"
  • Redtext
  • Banner ads pointing to your posts
  • Creeping your post history for anything that can be weaponized
  • Following you into every thread you post or post in and stirring up shit
  • Reporting every post you make
  • Whining about you incessantly to the mods via PMs and QCS posts
  • Doxing for the express purpose of doing gay ops
  • Gay ops of every imaginable form

Hahahahaha, this happened to me! Some guy took potshots at me after every single thing I posted for at least a couple of months. I'd usually give idiots who got mad at one of my posts a firm reply and then just overlook whatever else they replied with, but this guy actually pushed me to start using my ignore list. I got used to seeing "Jerk detected!" as the next post under each of mine after a while.

I don't even know what pissed him off so much.

Come to think of it, I think that was when I started to really notice the general attitude shifting. I remember making fun of him for following me around and being surprised that nobody joined in on laughing at him.

Not to back track too far here, but this interested me:

It’s really funny to be charging for something that is nearly impossible to find.

Oh

Isn't the fact that it reads as "One-time donation" specifically meant to get around this:

There's special laws about digital goods that last less than 24 hours, created to stop online gambling workarounds. So, if you pay them, and they decide that you're not worthy, they have to refund you, or they're in violation.

So no matter if you're given access to their forums or not, you just "donated." It says that payment is just a "donation" that doesn't guarantee access. There are no "goods" really. Even though it says "In thanks [you can post]" it's not saying "you paid, so you can post."

Also curious, do they have to pay taxes on the "donations" they receive or what little money that place could make? (I don't know how any of that shit works, are they trying to come across as a charity?)

It's certainly worded the way it is for a reason and that whole "you're donating to support us" lingo they use occurs several times.

Sketchy as fuck.. but I mean, obviously.

what would be more stechy/austic is rebuild a xenforo version of Sa with all the web 1.0 charm complete with bot gerated posts. and charge 11.99 for it but you can say the word retard and nigger.

Old picture but still; FoS got modded after this happened.

Is it a policy that every SA mod needs to be a pedophile apologist on some level, or is it just tradition?

What the city needs right now, obviously, is a fat neckbeard embarking on a mass shooting.

For real, some goon is going to go on another pumpkin guy-esque mass shooting sooner or later and they'll pretend that it wasn't obvious for months. Almost all their discussions are unreadable right now because they won't shut the fuck up about wanting to kill themselves, or others, ad nauseum.
