Take that as a compliment or slight, whichever you prefer. Null pretty much hit the nail on the head, when he said he trolled merely by existing. Fact is, all of this was completely self-inflicted. Dexter and Luna destroyed our forum. Which I suppose was inevitable, simply by having them around.
Luckily order has been restored, and we've found ourselves in a better place than before. The spamming forced Luna to finally fix some broken aspects of the site, both Luna and Dexter have been exiled, and through this ordeal we've singled out the two people willing to screw the rest of us over for a pat on the head. I'm feeling pretty good about where SC is at these days. So if you lot do care to take credit (which I'll admit, you certainly were a catalyst), thank you? XD

You're mostly right. Most of what caused these latest events were issues SC users have had with each other for a long time. The spamming didn't really do much and I don't know why the few people who did it thought it would. I'd say Dynastia acted more like a subtle breeze that knocked over a house of cards in this case. He made Turncoat and a few people an offer to mod their own little spin-off section. I never would have expected that to be the thing to cause Luna to freak the fuck out but it did. I was reading SC chat when Luna heard about it and she actually made it sound like she approved of @Turncoat becoming a mod here, insisting that he do so while saying she thought TC would do a good job. Then when I came back I found out Luna had banned Turncoat from SC just for considering the position and a few people were painting TC as a betrayer. It was very obvious Luna had fucked up and her stance of "lol i run this place you can all go to kfc if you disagree" didn't help.
Dynastia getting banned for posting a picture of cheese pizza was pretty funny though. SC had previously gotten spammed and neither Luna or Michael (who are probably the same person) did shit to stop it as it went down for hours. However shortly after Dynastia made a CP joke (literally cheese pizza) Michael banned him and then locked the ability to edit posts while him and Angee manually went through every post in every thread because a decent search engine was never implemented. Luna/Michael don't give a fuck about the SC community. They will watch it burn and even throw other users under the bus but the second it's obvious a situation would bite THEM in the ass? They rush to deal with it. You guys deserve better. You deserve basic features that fucking work which is why I'm hoping you guys build your own community somewhere without Luna or Michael involved in anyway.

This is late because I read all the SC drama backwards - starting with Null’s Personal Cuckhold, then Reaper and now this, and all I have to say is wow.
For the most part, the SC “refugees” seem like a pretty neat bunch, except for the three with their own threads (Try Hard, Try Hard 2 and Try Hard With a Vengeance). IMHO, none of them came across as particularly aggressive and all seemed like they’d be welcome additions to discussions here. I’d like to see them stay, even if they do have another home with or without “King Michael.” I agree with everything Batman VS Tony Danza said - you guys do deserve a better forum with basic working features and no closet control-freak admin. If you don’t stick around, good luck, guys.
That being said, I’ve never laughed out loud this hard at something I’ve read in a long, long time (I don’t think I’ve even laughed this hard at OPL’s bullshit, though I did get physically ill reading the Nick Bate debacle) - mostly at Cumslut’s butthurt. As far as Cumslut goes, I’ve never read anything so convoluted while at the same time having absolutely no substance; hats off to her and I hope she didn’t twist an ankle stepping down from her soapbox.

I'm going to go with you guys having been a "Catalyst" as well. This isn't the first time that Luna's gone ban crazy, nor is it the first time that she decided to "leave SC", nor is it the first time that it triggered the users to attack her as a result. What made this time different was that Dexter and Luna were working together with something they could call a common enemy. These two never had a reason to work together before KF happened.
Changing her username was definitely one of the strongest triggers, but if it was only that she would have gotten over it eventually. Instead she had Dexter to enable it further and allow herself to descend deeper into her own brand of madness.
It's actually doing alright now that I'm back in the mod position. There's likely going to be another meltdown in the future, but for now we've hit our... fourth or fifth peacetime?
It actually helped us. There were some glitches I spent ages complaining about that never got fixed, then after one day of spam it was remedied immediately. It also caused people in chat to express further discomfort over who was gone, making it that much harder for it to be business as usual. It also contributed towards Luna's breakdown and gave a few ignorant SCers users more reason to be hating on Kiwis, even though I suspect that some of the ones spamming were our own people (more than just Dexter even).
I'd say it had an effect, as some of what was spammed directly became things she'd no longer approve of.
They figured that there was no point until it died down on it's own. "They" spent that time developing a Tor blocker instead, then went with the mod tools that already existed to try to fix the problem. These tools include the ability to delete every post from multiple users at a time, so it's not too hard to clean things up.
I've purposely allowed damage to be visible (or even contributed to it on occasion) to give "them" no choice in the matter. Once people on the forum know ways to exploit how it works, they go nuts with it, so sharing such details worked almost like a form of immunizing it through sheer exposure.
One of the more noteworthy examples was back when we could post 1x1 autoplay videos. This lead to some primo shitposting that gave them no choice but to disable autoplay.
The shitty code has a weird charm to it, but beyond that we mostly care about sticking together so that we can continue to get our supply of whatever we're after from one another. If the forum ever becomes at risk without any chance of recovery, we've networked throwaway email accounts and IM accounts to make sure that we don't lose track of each other.
Dynastia's been a great addition to the place if you ask me. He gets how we work and his brand of charm synergizes well. Ignoring Luna flipping out about some of his antics, he's been harmless and amusing.
