Why do they write to each other in English on Facebook?

1. They literally think that Facebook is the whole internet, and don't know that they can just search for bobs, vegana and pusi on the rest of the internet.

2. India has tons of languages and dialects that aren't mutually intelligible. "Hinglish", aka localized English learned and taught by non-native speakers is the closest they have to a true national language.

Keep in mind also, these Indians are actually more educated than average- this is a country where 35% of men and 65% of women are illiterate.
