She saw this as a personal slur against her heritage. Being recriminated with accusations of racism gets old quick, so I decided to not engage her after that and let her ramble on about how horrible things are for "her people". She is predominantly of Irish, Scottish, and English descent, but I suppose that 1/8th gives her a lot of mileage.

SJWs thrive on the affliction of white guilt a lot of white people have.

Not that long ago, my wife and I were discussing our ancestries. In brief, her ancestors were known for murdering, raping, and pillaging. Mine were known for getting murdered, raped, and pillaged. There's a distinct possibility that this isn't the first interaction between our families, if you catch my drift.

You know what we did? We laughed about it, since it was 600 goddamn years ago, we didn't know any of those people, and we had no control over any of it.

So apparently, disagreeing with feminists (even if you're a woman) is considered a hate crime in the eyes of some. And they still wonder why some women refuse to hop on the feminist train.

Also, this is what SJWs are aiming for: making any disagreement with their ideology a hate crime. The scary thing is that, unlike other deeply radical cults, they may have the political power make it happen.

I still don't understand why people get so offended when a white person says they hate all Negroes.

These are the people who actively rob and loot everything that isn't nailed to the ground, who murder and rape without discretion, and who leech off of the government and hog all of our taxes while contributing nothing to society.

Hating blacks isn't """racism""" it's common sense.

The Simpsons are black? The kids are About 1/64th actually. That's about as valid as most of the "Cherokee" kids running around. Georgian women don't real.

Also funny enough...
Funny enough there are some characters that are genuinely mixed race, even if it never gets a real mention. Take the Sherri & Terri, lil' shits in my avatar for example. Given what little we've seen of their parents, their mom shares the same skin tone as them which is very similar to the colour of Chinese/Japanese people in the show. Now their dad on his one voiced appearance appeared black (granted so did Smithers) but even with an updated design from the Movie onwards he's still a slightly darker yellow than average.
In other words the twins are possibly half Chinese/Japanese, half something else (if you're an oldfag that pretends anything after season 8-9 isn't real, half black)

TL;DR: Let's ignore characters that might actually be of mixed race (neither "white") and headcanon characters as black when they're clearly not. Especially since black people in show aren't yellow. Duh.

Also children being curious is oppression.
 
So Marge is black because she has hair that are stereotypically associated with black people?

Doesn't racism exists in the first place because people have certain stereotypical beliefs about how certain groups of people behave, think, dress or - in this case - make their hair?

Do you expect these people to do research?

Practically everyone who tries to interpret a certain character as a certain race is doing so on incredibly stereotypical generalizations, like the one above.
 
I noticed it's actually a rather notable (and annoying) trend on tumblr where they'll latch onto and headcanon certain characters as something they want... while ignoring existing characters of the same series that might or do have the exact qualities they claim to be looking for.

It's almost like they want all characters to be the same or something.
 
I wish I'd saved/bookmarked it, but I ran across someone on an animation board once convinced that the related character of Leela from Futurama was actually a closeted lesbian and was growing increasingly frustrated that the show's creators (and this was post first cancellation, but not before it was renewed) were taking her in the "wrong" direction and clearly didn't "get" the character. Furthermore, this was before the SJW movement really took off, I can only imagine the poo-flinging-monkey levels of irrational hostility that same conversation would take on today.... because over time it became clear through her posts that the only reason she thought Leela was homosexual was because SHE was, so, obviously, any female character in a media aimed at HER had to be homosexual as well, it was the only explanation....
