Sooo…. Yeah I’m questioning their validity The anti-abuse tones in this post are dead-on. No one should abuse anyone and there are men who are survivors of abuse. But the inherently misogynist thing sounds like this person is whining about male privilege being pointed out. Men do have inherent advantages in this world. Dear Men on Tumblr, If your girlfriend tells you that you are inherently misogynist, you might actually want to listen to her. Institutional patriarchy does a hell of a job from preventing women voicing their opinions about hurtful behaviors and time and again I have been shut down (and seen other women shut down) when I point out how men are being misogynists in which I proceed to be called a man hater and “oh he didn’t mean it this way”. If someone is calling you a misogynist, you might want to sit and listen and not get up all in your feels because of a Tumblr post. The comment on “common sexist jokes against men” also sound dangerously like “oh misandry, that joke means misandry exist you’re being a misandrist and not letting me be sexist!” except we all know that misandry doesn’t exist (sexism does!),and also racism and homophobia exist so if your feminist ideals are offended only because they are “jokes against men” but doesn’t take intersectionality into account then you have a lot to learn. Feminism has made a huge point about bringing to light abusive behaviors period so I don’t know why there is this trend of “if a man isn’t allowed to do xyz, so isn’ta woman lalala” yeah no kidding. Feminism addresses that. If you didn’t know that then you might want to study feminism a little better. it’s not just about equality and its not about squashing men. Feminism DOES highlight how the MAJORITY of the abuse committed in communities is by MEN so I really hope OP and Men understand that. And so in turn understand why “dear women on tumblr etc etc” exist. Women are actively taught to subjugate themselves to men. Men aren’t. That’s how patriarchy works. Abuse works regardless of gender and all of the other points in the above points are points of abuse. Dear everyone on Tumblr, know the signs of abuse, and please get adequate help. You’re worth it.

That first point is trash. Men are inherently misogynistic. We live in a society that has taught them that from day one. Women are also capable of being misogynistic but not in the same way as men. Also, you’re really reaching with the sexist jokes one. Sexist jokes against men do not have the same societial repercussions as ones against women. Misogynistic jokes about women are e more socially acceptable. Please, stop.

Misogyny is taught to us from an early age, everyone has internalized misogyny. You can’t be sexist towards men. Making sexist jokes about women hurt women as a whole. Jokes about men don’t hurt men as a group. The fact you added these two with examples of emotional and sexual abuse worries me.

Ryulong actually got banned from RationalWiki and really isn't wanted at SJWiki from what I've seen. The former had an admin reach out to him and genuinely suggest he get help because he was editing pages somewhere in the area of 20 hours a day every day for two weeks. He's also infamous in the area he's from for exploding at places that fire him.
