Actually, real Marxists detest identity politics because it is a distraction from the class struggle which is central to revolution. They might want to recruit any and all disaffected groups, but they aren't really interested in their special issues.

Also, none of the rich white types who are SJWs give a flying fuck about anyone outside their social class. They certainly have no interest in losing their very real privileges.
 
One thing I've noticed is that there are a lot of people who use the word "Marxism" as an all-encompassing term for "anything even slightly left-of-center I disagree with", and they tend to not really know what Marxism is (I don't really know 100% what it entails either). 99% of the time I find that these people also make ridiculous arguments.

I say "99% of the time" because in this case Teddy is pretty much spot on in his description of SJW hypocrisy.

They're comparing the cancellation statement to the kind of boilerplate non-apology that people give when faced with backlash for politically incorrect statements. The author calls it a completely defensive move, hackneyed and devoid of sincerity, words written to quell a shitstorm rather than take responsibility for their actions.

I see. I also take it that the author doesn't agree with "SJW" type thinking. I'm also guessing that political correctness probably isn't really popular over in Japan.

Political correctness and "liberalism" isn't even that popular in the USA (a recent poll found that only 20% of Americans identify as "progressive", for example), but it appears to be more influential in America.

also many here think that if you cant pay or dont have a health insurance the hospital kicks you out to die.

By the gods I hope you're right. That said, with SJWs you really can't ever be sure.

It makes me wonder how'd they'd react if I told them I'm a follower of a religion frequently appropriated by white cis men and in order to apologize to my assorted deities I needed to sacrifice the most worthy person I could find: them. Would they drop the oppression olympics act or would they earn a Darwin Award for most stupidly adhered to convictions?

You don't need a majority to achieve change. 20% is a lot. Hell, around 20 to 30% of Americans during the Revolutionary war were the ones who wanted independence and fought for it. Another 20 to 30% were royalists, and the rest probably didn't give a damn. Vocal minorities were always the ones who make the real change.

Not to mention there are SJWs who now have access to journalism and the media. they're now trying to enforce their narrative into everything they can.
mostly video games.
 
It's like they live in an alternative universe or something.

Do they have special SJW glasses that lets them ignore reality when it runs contrary to their pre-concieved notions?
