Normally I can laugh off this sort of shit, but the obsession with turning a victim of the Nazis into fetish bait is fucking vile and genuinely winds me up.

People have been gay since there have been people. The ability to not be killed for it has varied over time and place.
People have assumed other gender roles through history too - but for reasons which are extremely different to modern day trans culture. Women dressing as men to go look for missing husbands in the war. Women dressing as men to access careers that were not open to women, like piracy, or medicine. Arctic Huntresses taking the Male roles after the death of a male hunter.
These are culturally not anything like what we have now. There would never have been any insinuation that the person actually changed sex. What they did was cross a genuine gender boundary because gender roles in their societies were so rigid. They were not trans like people ‘are’ now.
The retrospective trans ing of figures is historically incorrect and generally sexist - Elizabeth I cant possibly been a dumb broad AND one of our finest monarchs, can she? There were few enough women through history who’ve managed to make their mark, don't shit on them any further by saying they were trans, or Male ffs.

This is in regards to that Little Mermaid remake? I find that argument completely misses the point. You’re falling for the same baiting that happened with 2016 Ghostbusters. The majority of these race swapped remakes almost never have race/ ethnicity as a theme in their stories. You could color all of the characters yellow like
the Simpsons and nothing’s really different.
It’s just classic Hollywood pandering to blacks who really don’t give a shit about the superficialities. People don’t cherish their remakes the way they do the originals. It’s the sign of a shitty movie that needs to stoke the fire for internet flame wars. But as long as some SJW loser gets to virtue signal, who cares right?

There have been a couple of people who didn't take it well. There's apparently a petition protesting against the film with 11,000 signatures... but how many of them are trolls?

Well, there's a mild irony to some of the "outrage". True gingers make up less than 2% of the global population, making them more a minority than even LGBT QTIPs. And let's be frank here, a fair number of iconic redheads have recently been replaced with black people (MJ in Spiderman, Annie, Jimmy Olson, and now Ariel the Little Mermaid), who make up a good sixth of America's population alone.
And yes, prejudice against redheads is real, right down to being targeted for violent crimes because they were Ginger In Public.
The hypocrisy of increasing "representation" by taking away from an even smaller, equally legitimate minority is what they're often trying to discuss here. Or maybe they're trolling. Either way, pointing out the hypocrisy of the self-righteous is always a valid choice.

Isn't it technically even more sexist to insist that derogatory words for castrated men/sterile people of both sexes/gender non-conforming people of both sexes are actually "nonbinary uwu"? I mean their communities were basically saying "since you don't like to sew, you're not a woman." It wasn't something that someone self-identified as. Also part of why I find it fascinating, as well as the fact that a lot of IdPol faggots will ree and screech at me in person, claiming that I'm huwite, and therefore uphold huwite supremacy, and then find out I'm not, and then immediately denigrate my agency by insisting I'm "carrying water for huwite supremacists." I just want to watch their blood pressure go up, because I'll be legally punished for any physical interactions, but returning their smug a thousandfold and stressing them out until they make complete public fools of themselves is still legal.

I fucking wish guns were as easy to buy as simply asking an employee to open the door, instead I gotta fill out paperwork and pass a background check and never be committed and never do illegal drugs or be accused of DV. I'm probably missing a few things because I've yet to actually buy a gun.

Yeah man, I gotta update my ice cream permit this year. Later I'll go to my local grocery store and fill out three separate forms to buy ice cream and come back in 2-3 weeks while they ask local police if I'm known for getting brainfreeze or eating a pint of Ben & Jerry's in one sitting. After that, I can come back to the grocery store and they'll give me the ice cream with a handful of limited-use disposable spoons, and if I'm not careful budgeting these out then I won't be able to eat ice cream until next month.
