"Nazis are so dangerous they can kill people with their words. I see Nazis everywhere."

"No punching back."

"No inciting violence somehow what I was doing was not inciting violence while writing articles where violence is never condoned is."

The above was in response to the violent Berkeley riots, where $100,000 in damage was caused to UC Berkeley and $400-500k to the downtown businesses. Sourcing Breitbart for this because there's no feeling quite like getting away with murder ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°).

NAZIS ARE LITERALLY DISAGREEEEEEEREEEEEEREEEEEING WITH ME! RAPE! MURDER!

For every time I see someone reee about a person like Milo inciting violence, I never see them show what they're talking about.

I'm sure if they're right then a kiwi can link me, or I probably should go paw through that 75-page Milo thread to learn more. All I really know about him is from interviews I see with him places like the Rubin Report, and his ideas are genuinely interesting there even if I disagree with him on a number of things.

When you ask things like this, always remember that to these people, "violence" means "disagree".

My god this is cancerous. This woman is insane. I've sad it before and I'll say it again: Tucker has the patience of a saint.

"All of a sudden when we have one day for black folks to focus on ourselves"
I thought all of these people usually flip their shit when they see one little seemingly harmless and isolated thing that a year from now will destroy freedom and kill us all. But it's bad when their opponents predict problems arising from dramatic gestures.

Anyway, I'm totally fine if they don't want me to show up or speak my mind. I just won't give any money, votes, or other support to them either.

Those classical statues were colored in the past, but the paint wore off over the many years. Modern marble statues are made white just as an homage to the classical ones.

Whoever finds them problematic is welcome to pony up the money and time to repaint them.

Well then, you might find the final paragraph from the original article to be very interesting. I'll leave a link to the original article as well: https://hyperallergic.com/383776/wh...-color/?utm_source=social&utm_campaign=fbpage

If we want to see more diversity in Classics, we have to work harder as public historians to change the narrative — by talking to filmmakers, writing mainstream articles, annotating our academic writing and making it open access, and doing more outreach that emphasizes the vast palette of skin tones in the ancient Mediterranean. I’m not suggesting that we go, with a bucket in hand, and attempt to repaint every white marble statue across the country. However, I believe that tactics such as better museum signage, the presentation of 3D reconstructions alongside originals, and the use of computerized light projections can help produce a contextual framework for understanding classical sculpture as it truly was. It may have taken just one classical statue to influence the false construction of race, but it will take many of us to tear it down. We have the power to return color to the ancient world, but it has to start with us.
