My family always said I was some kind of genius, and I hated it, because they were really just not good at computers. No genius I know makes the mistakes I make. No genius wastes their entire life on the fucking internet.

I know what I am. I'm a dang 'ol bundle 'o wasted potential golly gosh damn it. No better way to use such a thing.

Ah I remember how school psychological testing revealed I had like over hundred thirty IQ points, I felt so smug back then in 5th grade. Didn't really stop me from being a total moron in many situations and neither did it stop bullying. Nor did it stop me from making some poor decisions later on, while those evil dumb school bullies matured up and got respectable blue collar jobs and families while I was still studying for degree.

Smarts don't inherently make you happier or superior - the world is too complex for even a really smart person to grasp it naturally, moreso a child or teen with little experience. I really wish I could tell that to the school kid me.

That professor was probably "obfuscated" because nobody uses that word or "perfunctory" like that in a casual fucking discussion.
 
For some reason, weebs get pissy if you point out Japanese culture is an offshoot of Chinese culture.

And to answer the weeb's questions: Yes we asked for proof in all those things he mentioned.

Fun fact: anthropological evidence strongly suggests that the inhabitants of the Japanese islands share a LOT of DNA with Koreans. This makes everyone uncomfortable for a variety of reasons.
