No, people usually cheat because they are unsatisfied in their relationship. There is some need that isn't being met.
There's a sizable body of research on this, not that you'd check.

Some women cheat, just like some men cheat. Some women murder people, just like some men murder people, etc. And no, cheating is typically much deeper than just appearances. Typically the person being used to cheat fulfills some kind of emotional need for the cheater on top of the physical interactions.
