And by that I don't mean getting fatigued by using slurs, but rather getting really tired of retarded nigger faggots who call any vaguely slur-like word an x-slur or x-word (the most recent one I found being "the r-slur").
I don't believe anyone that unironically does that is human. They are nigger cattle, retarded nigger cattle even.

I was expecting this thread to be about this and I was coming in hot. Turns out I completely agree with you. In particular I hate the people who act all high and mighty about retard. As if there's only one meaning for it, mentally retarded. Niggers can be socially retarded, faggots can be emotionally retarded, bread can be retarded. It's a fucking word, stop being such nigger faggots about it you mental retards.

It's stupid because the same logic for why "retard" is offensive could be applied to other words like "idiot" or "moron", since they were also originally used in medical contexts to describe people with intellectual disabilities. Yet nobody bitches and moans about "the i-word" or "the m-word". Somewhere down the line, people arbitrarily decided that "retard" was a derogatory term rather than a generic insult.

Tangential, but something you see a lot nowadays is people self-censoring particular words not because they don't want to use them, but because they're afraid of platform-level repercussions if they do. Slightly modifying words, like: r*pist, su*cide, p*dophile. It's comical to see people doing that without reflecting on how completely fucking dystopian it is to feel it necessary. They are tacitly complicit in the worsening of this situation by actively engaging in the practice.
