I only ever watched their shit when I was bored. Never kept up with drama back then.

They tried to legally own the words 'react' as well as own how react videos were made. They even managed to actually copyright strike a few people who didn't use any content of theirs, but rather used the format. Two notable examples off the top of my head are Ellen (ya know, that talk show lady who voiced Dory from finding Nemo) and a guy name 8-Bit Eric.

It was kind of a big deal a few years ago... But that's the nature of the beast.
