Wolves have been a favorite basically as long as furries as we know them have existed. Even before tumblr legitimized shit like otherkin. Furry art, literature (if you can even fucking call it that), and roleplay prominently feature wolves throughout internet history. It even penetrates into more specific fandoms as well. Go on any Sonic OC wiki and you'll find dozens of "X the Wolf" original characters. Mostly for the reasons you described. But you forgot the "lone wolf" tropes which appeal to quite a large portion of furfags.

Ive always regarded the lone wolf trope applied to the "ow the edge" crowd. A lot of them that I see like to retain the pack mentality.

That said I look forward to more eventualities with this lolcow.

Yeah, it could be interesting. Especially because of just how fishy his "girlfriend" really is. With the way she types and just sort of agrees with everything he says, I'm very suspicious she might just be him.
