Has anyone had experience with using Nivea Creme as a face moisturizer? The kind that comes in a blue tin.

Ordered some because my usual Cetaphil is out of stock everywhere (seriously, hoarders?)
There's a lot of rave reviews by people who've used it for decades, so I'm hoping it won't break me out lol. There's also some obsession with the german produced version, though I think that's probably not a big deal.
It works pretty well. The ive not experienced any breakouts with it. Good for under the eyes

I know a few people who swear by it and have never mentioned any breakouts but it contains lanolin alcohol and I'm allergic to lanolin so I assume my face will melt off if I try it. I use lots of their other products though and I've never had a breakout from them (but that's probably not much help, sorry)

Could someone recommend a good hyaluronic acid serum? I have normal to dry skin.

The hyluronic acid anti-aging cream by La Roche-Pocay is pretty good. I use their anti-acne cream and their face cleanser, too.

I keep seeing that brand at drugstores (and I just found out that it's at Ulta), but I could try it just to see how this is. I am disappointed that the hyaluronic acid serum from Fourth Ray Beauty is sold out in Ulta (and I'm not ordering it from their site since they closed their distribution centers).

Edit: I decided to buy the one from The Ordinary and a micro face scrubber instead.

Hi! Could anyone please suggest a body moisturiser that works as well as cocoa butter, but isn't? I hate the smell of it. Lost a shedload of weight, and down to the last 20lb, but I don't want to end up with flappy skin. It's not been too bad so far but it's more noticeable now, heavens knows why

I don't have any allergies or anything at all, and I don't mind smells, just anything but cocoa butter

I love this line of lotion. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01IMEJV5U/ref=emc_b_5_t This one and the argan oil are my favorites. My skin feels great and it doesn't have that cocoa butter stank.

I can't stop recommending hemp based lotion. I like Hempz or Earthly Body. Skin so moisturized, non greasy! I hate feeling greasy or sticky at all.

Awesome, thank you so much. And yeah, that greasy feeling is the worst, isn't it? I wanna be moisturised, not feeling like a turkey crown all basted for the oven

I've finally found what works best for me thus far. At night I use L'ocitanne m1lk cleanser and make up remover. Then for moisturizer vitamin E oil.

Then in the morning an oil wash with a slightly warm washcloth then a spritz of vitamin C toner that my gf gets from Korea. She swears by all her Korean skincare. Then sunscreen if going outside.

I've been using a make up setting spray that I make myself. In a spray bottle I have water and a decent glug of glycerine. I ran out of my usual urban decay and figured I'd try my own. I love it, it holds make up and refreshes it plus it leaves my skin looking just slightly dewy. I just have to shake the bottle and spray. Some people put a spray of perfume in it for scent but as alcohol is drying, I didn't bother.

Not sure if anyone’s answered this already, but I recently had some breakouts that have left scars. Not like typical acne pitting scars, but a smooth red dot on my skin. These last for months and months before fading on their own. Any product ideas to help fade them faster? I’m not well versed in acids or BHA/AHA stuff, but I’m willing to try them if it helps.

Good old scrubbing with a washcloth every few days with facewash has helped mine. I think it's just a matter of getting through enough new skin layers so any type of exfoilation will be good.

Thank you! I have a chemical exfoliant, but I’ve been avoiding the area the scars are in for fear of making it worse. I’ll fully exfoliate them tonight. That shit sloughs off everything so hopefully it helps.

Oh btw don't go too hard if youre going to scrub it as well, just gentle circular movements especially on thinner areas of your face(eyes, cheekbones, etc)

Came on here to recommend my new favourite facewash.

Soap and Glory Vitamin C wash. I have dry and sensitive skin and this does not irritate me one bit. I had some spots/breakouts a few months ago for the first proper time in my life but they're all gone now, unsure if this aided in that or not.

It's very gentle and smells amazing.

I bought mine at Boots in the UK (I think it's a Boots brand) but it seems to be available at Walgreens (who own Boots) and Target too.

I recommend anything from the Bodyshop.

Might not correct your flappy skin but Dove Spa While You Sleep is great and always leaves my skin feeling amazing.

A friend who is obsessed with skincare swears by exfoliating with it and then leaving an antiseptic cream on overnight once a week. Apart from that do your skincare routine as normal.

The Bodyshop is an MLM, just so people are aware.
I only buy directly from their stores or website and usually in store - never from a Hun*. Bought from them directly for years even before I knew they had an MLM branch, unsure how it fits into their business structure.

*my friend worked in a Bodyshop store and I used her discount but she had an hourly wage so that doesn't count.

My skin is normal for the most part, it only gets oily I guess when i wake up , mainly if I ate greasy foods which isn't common

I just wash it several times a day, typically fash washes to help clean off oil/acne control

I almost never avoid sunscreen..........I use CeraVe or something with a good amount of zinc.

Castor oil on the lids if needed.

Minor acne is my only bother but it's been becoming less and less of a problem I guess- this past month it's been clear pretty much which is great.
