I know we like to shit on the jeets here, but I’ve got to give to them for Medimix Ayurvedic soap. Their anti-pimple face wash has made my face look better than ever.

Also, has anyone tried beef tallow on the face? The youtube derms say no, but they also move products, so I don’t know how trustworthy they are.

I use tallow sometimes as a last step. It doesn’t seem to bother my skin, seals in moisturizer, but nothing remarkable.

Current routine:
AM
- wash face w/ Byoma creamy jelly cleanser
- moisturize w/ innisfree ginger and honey on wet skin
- beekman SPF 30 primer

PM
- double cleanse with oil cleanser first
- regular cleanser
- moisturize on wet skin
- benzoyl peroxide
- (SOMETIMES) slug with CeraVe healing balm/Cocokind ceramide balm
- scar tape on forehead when i remember

I still keep getting these horrible blind pimples, closed comedones, and regular zits. The blind pimples hurt and are so deep. Not even the Microdart patches help them. Ive been watching my diet, my period is stable and I have zero hormonal issues (got tested at gyno), I change my pillowcase, avoid sugar dairy etc etc, I wash my face after work outs/avoid touching it, I take the ginger and tumeric shots and I still break out. I'm at my wits end. Went to a derm, had an allergic reaction to the stuff she gave me to use with Differen, so I'm too scared to continue using the Differen and go through purging without having the Clindamyacin to counteract it. I caannot mentally handle going through a several month "purge" .
At this point I'm certain the acne is hormonal, but I have no clue what is causing my forehead acne. If there is any supplement or anything I can take please let me know. I have exhausted all my options and I don't think any topical product will help anymore

I've used Dove beauty bar practically my whole adult life, prefer cucumber. Probably for about 25 years now.
Also over the years I have spent a large amount of time in the ocean. 90%+ of the time I am wearing a wetsuit and use copious amount of sunscreen on exposed areas. So some good solid salt soaks.
I receive compliments on my skin all the time. Every girl is jealous on how smooth my skin is and compliments me.
When I get massages they always ask my skin care regiment.

I swear nothing works like the sun + sand + salty / seawater combo. My skin never looks as good as when i spend a lot of time on the beach, now matter how good or expensive the soap, body wash or lotion is.

I bought this by accident. I wanted to use bar soaps because they scream fancy to me over the liquid variety and wow.

Not only is this bar amazing, but one time I left my face wash in another room and all I had was this bar. I used it and I instantly saw results.

I was always taught to never use what I use on my body on my face as well, and that our face is is different blah blah, and I use this and got actual fucking results compared to charcoal scrubs and acne washes and all that junk.

Now my face is rapidly clearing up and healing and I am bewildered. I feel lied to, I feel sabotaged by other women around me, it's very surreal.

Have you tried tretinoin? It sounds like that may be a better fit for you than benzoyl peroxide or adapelene.
Tret works, pretty much guaranteed. It cured my adult acne. I now use some Korean products and the tret 3x a week.

So depressed my favorite SPF got discontinued. I always struggled to find a face sunscreen that I wasn't allergic to. Most chemical sunscreens make me nearly blind if they get anywhere near my eyes, and physical-only sunscreens are a pain for daily use because of the cast and oiliness they leave. I finally found this stuff called SPF Rx Ultra-Clear Daily Skin Hydrator from a small US company called Cal Pharma. It was incredible. I could put it all around my eyes, even my undereyes up to my lower lashes, with no issue. I could put on as much as I wanted and it would absorb fully like a nice moisturizer, no pilling, no oiliness, no white cast. That stuff got me through years of field seasons where I was outdoors for months at a time and I never once burned or tanned. The company went under and now I have to use something else. I tried EltaMD UV Clear and it pilled like crazy. Now I am using EltaMD UV Daily. It has the same actives as my old one (Zinc Oxide 9%, Octinoxate 7.5%) so I was hoping it would be the same, but it makes my eyes burn and tear up if it gets in my eyes. It also is more oily, lower SPF, and more expensive than my old tried and true.

RIP best sunscreen ever, I will miss you dearly.

Have you tried CeraVe Facial Moisturising Lotion? It's a HLA moisturiser with SPF50, I use it as both day and night cream, works great.

The Round Lab's Birch Juice sunscreen is amazing on sensitive skin. I use it on my eyelids and every where on my face. Recommended it to my American friends, too, but make sure you get the one with Korean writing.

There are two versions, both are made in Korea but one is made for the American market using US approved sunscreens. The other is the Korean approved sunscreen ingredients, which is the one I recommend, and I'm a spud so I need the SPF.

Diet wise, meat and gluten may also be the issue.

In terms of products, the only thing that has ever, ever helped my T-zone acne has been the ordinary niacinamide + zinc. (Though that’s a different type of acne to yours).

Medically, some women need an androgen blocker like small doses of spironolactone (yes the tranny drug), which apparently works like magic.

Can anyone recommend a decent day-time moisturiser that works okay under makeup? I don't do a full face of makeup to go to work, so basically just something that looks okay when I put concealer over top of it. Right now I'm using basic Cetaphil lotion on my face and it kind of pills once I place concealer over it, whether I do that right away or let it set in first. And I only switched to Cetaphil recently because all my fave moisturisers get discontinued and I gave up.

Ideally I'd like something that can be found at a drugstore, or a Korean brand. I'm also open to splurging if it's Shiseido.

Thanks
I can try and cut down on gluten but I'm worried about meat because I'm already anemic. I've been avoiding chicken though

I use CosRX Snail Mucin. It's a great summer moisturiser with a great plumping effect and gives the skin a nice glow.

Does anyone have a recommendation for something that gets rid of blackheads?
I struggled with blackheads on my nose for years, despite cleaning my face neurotically. I was able to basically totally eliminate them with Adapalene Gel. Took about 3 or 4 weeks, but it worked. It is a topical retinol specifically formulated for acne.
