Double post, but I found this intriguing.
All in the comments are lying their asses off, that he's beautiful. I don't know about others, but I consider lies like that to be more hurtful than just straight up telling the truth.
Anyway, I was more interested in what medication could do this. Of course they aren't saying anything of relevancy.
I think it's hydroquinone, because that’s the one that has history with pigment changes in skin. Especially in niggers. About the hair and nails, got no explanation for those :)

I don't think they're lying tbh. He's in good shape and had a decent bone structure to begin with. Plus there are plenty of people who are genuinely into the whole ethereal alien-ish look you get with vitiligo and albinism.

Anyway, found out the condition was caused by minocycline (insta pic by some chick).
Sure, he had an allergic reaction. That's not the medications fault though.

I like this topic, and it's a new video so. But really, bars of cosmetics isn't the way to go. Reason why liquids in plastic bottles is far more popular, convenience. I tried myself with bar soaps, and it dried up and became useless long before it was used up.
I haven't tried anything from Lush, but I hear the shampoos are quite drying, so a bit funny to have them in the video + they say SLS is bad for the environment. Which Lush put in every cleaning product of theirs.

And the "We don't like chemicals". surprise. Every thing is an chemical, and man-made chemicals is in fact safer than most natural chemical:cringe:

Anyway, there already exists biodegradable plastic. But of course, we should not focus on solutions and just remove it altogether. It's very desirable to move past in time.

Aww, really? I love me some bar soap. You gotta use soapkeepers, though.

I'm still in the crew for liquid shampoo and conditioner.

Lush is hit or miss. Honestly you can get better versions of their products from small businesses on etsy, etc. Lush's main appeal is their smelly stores and the range of products.
I actually just bought one of the blue pressed shampoo bars that's shown in the first 9 seconds. It smells really nice but is pretty drying.
That was my experience as well. It also feels kinda shitty when the bar starts to melt down and you realize just how much of it is SLS (it's the stuff that looks like sprinkles/jimmies).

I honestly don't mind the drying factor as much because my hair tends to be super greasy and weighed down by even a drop too much moisture, so having the shampoo dry it out a bit extra both prevents it from getting noticeably flat/greasy during the day and allows a bit more forgiveness about how much conditioner I'm allowed to use.

I just rub the puck directly on my head and keep it on a soap saver thing.

I use it in conjunction with the "american cream" conditioner because that was pretty much the only one that didn't make me want to gag. I had high hopes for the wasabi based shampoo but it smelled like something scraped up out of a vegan restaurant's dumpster.

I've been using the Big shampoo from Lush recently (the one with the sea salt chunks in it that comes in a jar) and its really good. Makes my hair nice and shiny. I'll probably use it as my main shampoo if the other shampoos in my stash don't turn out to be better than it (I have like 4 different bottles in the cupboard so I have enough to last me ages, a couple of them I bought myself and a couple of them I just kinda ended up with when we moved since nobody knew who they belonged to)

Last time I went to the Lush store to buy a new lip scrub the lady there let me try this orange scented body scrub on my hands and it was really nice. I'm definitely gonna buy a jar once I've freed up some space in my bathroom cupboard.

Had it on a soapkeeper that followed with the shower rod in my shower. It was clear plastic, so I'm happy I got rid of it. Because barsoaps are messy.
I'm surprised you had so much trouble. I don't even think of bar soap as a zero waste thing, it's just a normal thing. It gets messy? I know what you mean but ultimately, it's soap, you can wash it off. I've also never had one that just dried up unless it was unused for a really long time. I even have a lush shampoo bar I've had for years that I use as bar soap when traveling and it's pretty much the same as when I bought it. That's actually another couple of benefits - bars last a lot longer and are much more suitable for traveling.

I think some of the bar cosmetics work. Lush bars aren't the best imo unless it's just a regular soap bar (hence the repurposing of the shampoo bar into soap). I tried Ethique bars recently, and so far I like them. I like the look of no plastic packaging a lot too, no more logos all over the bathroom makes it feel more serene.

Right there with you. Too much visual clutter stresses me out.
If you're on the hunt for more bar soap, I recommend goat milk soap from small businesses on Etsy, but also the company Dr. Squatch, which I just found recently.

Shit, it's craft show season in US, just show up to one of those and choose from like four different goat milk soap vendors.

I tried this stuff pre-tret and it made me break out more.

I'm cancelling my ipsy subscription starting next month, but this month they sent me a mattifying Origins moisturizer and fuuuuuck is it nice. It really keeps my skin from getting palpably oily, which was at bay for a while because of the tret but is coming back.

I was using strictly Dermalogica 30spf sunscreen as daytime moisturizer and CeraVa PM night time moisturizer in addition to tret at night, but now on days when I'll only be outside long enough to walk to my car I use the Origins one in the morning instead. At night I'm alternating between the CeraVe PM and another Ipsy offering, Byroe salmon face cream - which is extremely expensive.

Both the Origins and the Byroe have a really nice ginger smell and I'm really enjoying them. I've just run out of storage space for makeup/skincare minis.

I bought a shit ton of new skincare after a year of almost abstinence from shopping.
I got:
  • Pure Fit Cica Cleanser by CosRX
It was quite a good deal (10$), I needed a new cleanser and saw some good reviews. Used it once so can't comment quite yet.
  • Great Barrier Relief by Krave
I wanted to try stuff from Krave for a while and I'm a sucker for shit that claims to help my skin barrier. Used it a couple times, seems good so far. Use it in the evening after retinol. Skin is soft in the morning.
  • Oat So Simple Water Cream by Krave
Run out of face cream while travelling, thought the ingredient list looked simple. Been liking it so far, but only used it a handful of times both mornings and evening. Feels light enough but moisturizing.
  • Liquid Gold by Stratia
I love this more than I can put into words. Probably the one skincare product I've missed the most in my year of abstinence from shopping. It does magic for my face and makes my skin feel amazing. Use it in the morning before sunscreen and after serums, alone or with another cream depending on weather.
  • Sun Project Water Sun Cream by Thank You Farmer
Thought I'd never get over my love for Elta Md sunscreen, but this one does a great job at a fraction of the price (and it's available in my country). Feels good, is light and didn't irritate my skin unlike most Asian sunscreens. Held up great while I was hiking and at the seaside.
  • Cicapair Gel by Dr Jart
I love the Cicapair line, wanted to try this for the summer. It's lighter but still does the job at helping my skin when irritated.
I'm very happy.

I find it odd that you don't really see hot wax strip paper being sold separately. Like at Walmart there's several body wax products but not a single box or bag of just the muslin strips.

I still have half of the container of wax you get in the general body wax kit. I'd kinda like to just get more paper before I buy a completely new box.

Tess uses Vaseline and filters to get her soft and glowy skin :)

They don't say how much BHA/AHA/PHA, I'm guessing weak percentages, but both products have them. The fact they recommend using both 2-3x a week sounds like it would dry the fuck out your skin, you would only need to use both once a week MAX. And the volcanic sand in the scrub could cause microtears.

I am only a sperg, but I don't know what the point is to combine the low percentage acids with the enzymes. I read enzyme masks only help with dead skin, so I use them if I'm flaking from tret or a strong peel. Acids help with skin turnover and are typically leave-on products at low percentages so what good are they doing if they're only on the skin for 10 minutes?

Branded skin stickers are a rip off, get those giant 4"x4" hydrocolloid bandages and cut your own.

Tula’s skincare is overpriced and pretty full of filler for what you get.
Any “power ingredients” are going to be buried under water, glycerin, or cheap filler oils.
It’s not even on the same level as Dermalogica or Strivectin even though the price points are similar, the stores that sold it locally in my area phased it out and now it’s online only.

They’re definitely a struggling brand at this point, which is why they’re (badly) trying to build buzz by using IG people like Tess.
Which really tells me all I need to know about that brand lol, Peter Thomas Roth sure isn’t collaborating with her.
