From what I've seen of the American voting system, I can't help but imagine poll dancers are old ladies doing the jitterbug in church basements, school cafeterias, or bingo halls, all while people come in to choose a candidate for president.

To get slightly back on topic, wasn't there a historical precedent for this in some woman named Emma Goldman? I can only imagine if that woman were alive today and had a tumblr.

It makes perfect sense for SJWs to idealize sex work. "The Patriarchy" says it's a bad thing, so it MUST be a great thing. "Evilciswhitemalescum " say sex workers are treated badly, so they MUST in fact live lives of ease and safety.

I expect any day now that SJWs will take up smoking in the belief it will prevent cancer.

There was this camgirl who I saw posts get reblogged a few times during the Ferguson stuff. It was typical SJW shit how whites are evil, systematic oppression etc etc and of course she is as white as snow. Which is actually pretty funny because after looking her up, apparently she used to do paid cam shows dressed a nazi. I'd look up her blog now to see what I could find but I am at work and dont really feel like risking it looking up a whale.

I imagine that a lot of them are sex workers in the same way that most Tartlets are artists - they talk about it a lot on the internet but don't actually have any customers.
 
This post is kinda relevant to me because at the risk of powerleveling, my former roommate was a stripper and (if I take my other roommate's word for it) as prostitute as well. Let's just say that she was one of the most broken, screwed up, drama obsessed people that I have met. My best friend's childhood friend is also a former stripper and does porn and escort work on the side, and although she has her shit more together, she, like my former roommate, is also very emotionally screwed up and has a lot of issues. I don't want to come off as if I'm"slut shaming" but I feel like these type of professions attract certain types of girls and women, these particular types who aren't known for being particularly stable. I'm certain there are sex workers out there who are normal but it's not like most of these people are only doing it to pay off loans for school, let's just say. So whenever I see post on Tumblr which are all like "Sex workers are angels uwu", I tend to raise an eyebrow. Not only is it rather condescending to sex workers, treating them like they're perfect beings rather than actual people, but for all these SJWs being "sex positive", they tend to not understand or just straight up ignore WHY women tend to go into this particular business.

Look, I consider myself a feminist and if taking your clothes off in front of a bunch of men or being paid to have sex with them is something that you really wanna do, then I say go for it. But for the majority of sex workers, it isn't that simple. I know it's been said already in this thread but camwhoring and working for an professional escort service =/= streetwalking and having a pimp. Not to mention the rampant sex trafficking that goes on even in countries like the U.S. The SJW sex workers of the former don't know how well they have it.

It's weird. Back in 2013, when I was kinda treading in SJW waters, I've noticed a lot of them hated porn and it dehumanized women (Which, to be fair, I think some of it does but to act like all of porn does so is bit of a stretch). I might be generalizing here but I wonder what makes porn bad yet stripping, prostitution, and cam whoring good.

Also can I add how fucking stupid the word "whorephobia" sounds? I hope it doesn't catch on.

On a serious note I know a sex worker and she does anything but idealize the job; rather she sees it as a trap she fell into and can't easily climb out of. I think she's addicted to the cash and the drugs.

Having met SJW strippers: They turn up at work, make nothing; whine about making no money, then leave within a week (to everyones massive relief).
I have run into a few SJW strip club patrons and god those are terrible conversations. Some come across as being genuinely ok people who just act like none of us could possibly like our work, others come across as real trauma hounds: asking questions about horrid things to try to get us to crack and tell them something shocking so they can feel like saviours of the down trodden. I have a few SJW in the strip club stories that I can share if people want them, some are pretty funny.
