Aang did have hair for a while during one of the sagas when he was hiding in the Fire Nation to learn more about firebending (to disguise to mark on his head).
I know that, but he didn't have it when he was wearing the airbender clothes. I haven't seen the original series in years, but he shaves it again before the black sun thing. Sorry for sperging.

This particular artist boggles my mind. For someone is is obviously very knowledgeable about art, they somehow managed to miss the obvious problems with the legs.

This artist is actually vary talented and I do like a lot of his work, even if he's a bit SJW-ish.

Draws Fuzzy Lumpkins as a generic buff dude.

Edit: Check out the foot on the girl with the U on her stomach.

Their faces looks same-ish, which does not speak to the image's message.

As a side note to that, Aang was bald even in his adult years, as shown in flashbacks in Legend of Korra.

He was in the cartoon.

The question stands, though, why exactly is someone thinking that a character who's basically a violent, moronic hick ought to be drawn like... that?!
Either someone that might actually have a thing for Fuzzy Lumpkins or person who thought maybe the violent redneck could be using a new look. Even then, the appearance would of been more fitting for some related character.

That Fuzzy drawing is honestly way too dark. As in I can't see jack.
And if he's supposed to be muscular, where the hell are his pecs?
And christ almighty, I never knew a thumb could bulge out that much.

You can barely tell if he has eyes or a mouth.

How many other characters who shouldn't be buff dudes have been drawn that way?

There's no reason for him to be so jacked. These people took the lumpiness out of a character that has lump in his name!

Huh, I notice that all the girls who are facing forward, even the chick with the U on her stomach has that all important THIGH GAP - which not everyone has but I hear is a thing some girls aspire to. I'm not anywhere near heavy and I don't have a thigh gap and couldn't because anatomy (like most people). A girl with her body type would be unlikely to have one unless her pelvis was really, really wide. Therefore, extra hypocrisy points! Or maybe just stupid. Not sure.

I came across the ultimate SJW/Feminist redesigns.

This isn’t based on a particular image, but a ground up redesign of Wonder Woman. I saw a bunch of images from this blog posted in on Buzzfeed and thought they seemed to only go halfway with the whole desexualization or increased practicality. I don’t necessarily agree that the a lot of the characters need covered up, but I thought I’d give it a shot anyway. I covered her up with thick loose clothing which provides more protection than her usual outfit, while still affording her range of movement. It also obscures her shape a bit. I also got rid of the tiara and with it the impractical long flowing hair that makes for an easy handhold in a fight. I also got rid of the pointless high heels on her boots so she can run and stand comfortably and stuff.

Response from site ownder: What an hottie. I need that shirt and I love the idea of Wonder Woman with short hair!

I know this has been said before, but I think it bears repeating. Instead of spending all your time and energy re-designing preexisting characters that you don't like, just make your own damn superhero characters.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind a short-haired, more muscular female superhero, but let the design and character stand on its own merits. Don't just slap your ideas on another person's hard-work.

*Editing this because I just realized I redesigned Andrew Dobson's stupid pirate characters in the Andrew Dobson thread. I'm a dirty hypocrite, but my point still stands!

As far as it goes, gotta give the artist credit in that this may actually not be based on some other image. Still, one could mistake it for some random person that would come off as a Wonder Woman fan. The tiara could of been changed to a different piece of headgear such as a circlet but that's beside the point of redesigning. The clothers however do look like they might be a bit baggy. Wouldn't that in some way be a bit of a hazard in some circumstances?

Nothing wrong with making a redesign but still, making your own can be better than re-designing someone elses character. Hell, one could just say this is some Amazon that decided to be like a second Wonder Woman (who chose to pick her own outfit if simply to try and "relate better to people" or something other reason) rather than a redesigned Wonder Woman. Still, looking at the outfit kinda makes one see it more like someone in sweat clothes decided to become a crime fighter.

One thing to consider though: what would the need be for the brass (gold?) belt thing around the waist? Would it be to hold her clothes or at least act as an indicator like with the rope and color scheme of the outfit?

Don't worry, it's okay when we do it.

:^)

It's too much work to come up with your own characters. It's easier just to redesign ones that have already been around.
