Why does Tumblr have an obsession with vitiligo?

  • Suicide Girl model and America's Next Top Model contestant have it, spread on Tumblr, that's why.

It always just seems like it's just going in the opposite direction of singling them out to make fun of them; they put people with vitiligo on a pedestal and kind of fetishize them as being like, the oppressed of the oppressed.

I dunno, man. I feel like we could pull up a whole bunch of Tumblr artists who draw canon characters or their OCs with vitiligo.
I wonder if this has anything to do with Chantelle Winnie, a professional model with vitiligo? She was on last year's America's Next Top Model and got a career after that. But, probably not.

The good folks at Bikki Armor Battle Damage are on a roll today.

-While this character gets more clothes when she levels up, it doesn't matter to them since she's showing cleavage and sexualized.
-Sure most of the ladies in the Mass Effect series are mostly fully clothed, that's not good enough. There's cleavage, not every outfit is gendernuetral, Miranda had a male creator which is icky since he made her "perfect" and beautiful; everything about Jack's design and Ashley was made prettier in the later games. Whew! I haven't played the Mass Effect series, but I see Jack's design as a reflection of her anger, rebelliousness and outsider personality. Her make-up and bald head help make her stand out.
-While Mortal Kombat is on their shitlist for quite a while, now Sindell is being targeted. I'm surprised they haven't gone after Ferra/Torg yet (especially her ending).
-If you defend skimpy and "bad" armor, you're an asshole.
-I did ask about their stance on LARPers who wear boobplate and do mock battles. They'll let it go if it's foam swords.
Am i reading this right? Saber is now haram because she's based off of King Arthur? Did i misinterpret or is she seriously discredit an armored woman because of that?

Possibly! There's a Suicide Girls model that also has it that got thousands of reblogs on Tumblr.

Hard to guess but one would probably say Saber is based on a male compared to the others who are based on females. I would ask this: if Fate shat on Boudicca because of how she is portrayed, does Fate do the same thing to king Arthur? I'll be honest though, it's just some animu/game series from Japan. They do what Marvel did with Baldr and take creative liberties, even if someone felt a black guy playing a Norse god was blasphemy (nevermind words could be different back then).

From what I've read on the series wiki, Saber disguised herself as a man so she could be a knight and get the throne (under the name Arthur). In a way, its Rule 63 King Arthur.

Shitting on the character design in Fate is just completely stupid. All the characters have unrealistic outfits, or do they honestly believe that the Irish went around in skintight body suits? It's part of the appeal. Also, Saber's got a lot more normal-looking armor than a bunch of the other characters. Ironically, there's a bit where another character comments on how revealing Saber Extra's outfit is, and she replies that she likes it that way - she's not exposing herself, she's allowing people to look. Putting her in normal armor would be out of character.

Yeah, a bunch of the characters are Rule 63 versions of famous historical figures (Francis Drake, Nero, Jack the Ripper...). The SJWs probably object because it's for sex appeal instead of "feminism." As if Takeuchi doesn't pander to the fangirls, too.

They're sore about how dare a female warrior like Diana ends up being decorated with boobs while a character based off a male warrior is respectfully designed.

Well, Arturia is. Francis Drake, for example, is a pirate chick with massive boobs and no shirt under her coat, and Jack the Ripper is a scantily-clad loli. They're probably also screaming about how transphobic Saber's route is because accepting her status as a woman instead of a king/tool is a major part of the plotline (and Shirou is massively sexist at some points, never mind that he gets over it in the end). It's a relatively obscure anime porn game, I don't get why they're kicking up a fuss about it. But then again, that goes for 99% of what they whine about.

A lot of the Fate/Stay Night designs were pretty tacky, though.

If you mean the original versions, yeah, kind of. Takeuchi's character design method seems to be either crazy outfit, sexy lady in crazy outfit, or Saber clone (possibly in crazy outfit). But like I said, it's part of the fun.

If you mean the redesigns... I'm not looking. I'm having a hard enough time holding in the autism on here, I'm not going to push it even farther.

Saber or Red has it both ways, her armor's from head to toe but she's got like cut off jean shorts when she's going casual.

Yknow what kinda bugs me about their hatered of skimpy armor? They always assume anyone wearing armor is meant to be an up close brawling brute, and act like they should always be wearing thick heavy plate armor. They never really seem to consider that characters wearing that armor might actually be like a mage or a rogue. Yknow, someone that relies more on speed/skill that would probably need an outfit that protects them while not restricting their movements or weighing them down too much.

That's on their Bingo bullshit.

Honestly, the frustrating thing about this post is that they don't counter any of these points in a reasonable way. All they say is that "Lol, people say these things to us a lot!", as if that somehow invalidates the ideas their counter-arguments are presenting.
Actually, they do have their explanations in their special bingo card if you scroll down.

From what I've seen of SJW art, a lot of them seem to have the same art style. Hard to describe, but it's like this weird mishmash of kawaii and chibi? Also, each piece always seems to be adorned with flower crowns, pastel colors, and a flowy banner at the bottom saying something very sjw-ish like "Respect boys that menstruate". Anyone else notice this pattern?
