I think this is the main issue with the community as a whole.
To be ace/aro, it's always either a medical issue, preference, or a label. I'm aromantic myself, does that make me special? Hell no, I struggle because it's a medical issue that is a side effect of having a mental illness.
Being gay isn't a preference nor label. You got a dick and like other men? You are no doubt gay, my good sir. You like dick AND vageegees? Congrats! You are bi. Simple as that really, no need to linger on it.
With the logic of including ace.aro people in the community, I really don't see what's stopping them with including pedos, zoos, and all the other paraphilias. Labels like 'polysexual' and 'pansexual' prove time and time again that it's all about preferences and labels, instead of actual sexual orientation.
