Ah SU Critical; for all the crap I give fandoms, “critical” groups are twice as autistic. It’s not the criticism part, meaningful critique should always be encouraged, but rather because they’re an anti-fandom dressed up as armchair critics.

Case it point, assuming the SU staff were klansman based on the zoo, the scrapped Concrete design and everything about Bismuth.

Yeah, this is why I’m so on the fence with asexuals. I do agree Tumblr is very prejudice towards different LGBT members as seen with bisexuals and straight trans people. But then you have shit like “asexuals are so rarely represented!

Everyone got mad because Concrete is a black-looking character with big light-colored lips who "can't read." And yeah, it's kind of tone-deaf. There was also "Chola Amethyst," when Hellen Jo was helping to finalize Amethyst's outfit, but I personally think that's a stretch.

Apologizes for double posting but some more insight on the Concrete pic; apparently the original artist was in fact a black man while the writing was by a white woman. Big lips are a staple of the artstyle, including black people; don’t ask me why. While you can still argue the writing was tone deaf, it was incredible to people rip apart a real life black person over a drawing.
Bismuth’s concept art and the bodysuit were different incidents, each a stretch. Can’t wait to see what the next art book will bring!

Well here's the meaning of "coomer":

If you don't know what Camp Camp is, it's a show from Rooster Teeth (the people who make RWBY, which has been featured many times in this thread) that Tumblrinas have latched onto because uwu gay babies... despite the fact most of the characters are children. One of the most popular characters to homo-ize is David, one of the camp counselors that was confirmed to be straight (or at most bisexual) due to having a canon love interest. Miss you so much, Bonquisha. :'(

It’s mostly in just as the original meme was an exaggeration but there are some serious freaks out there. Case in point, the asexuals who proudly claim to masterbate and watch porn but never have actual sex.

There can be many reasons for that but I think it's most likely because these artist don't or rarely use references and they just try to copy what they see from other, more popular artists.
 
I don't know how I found this but I did. Not too bad compared to what we've seen, but Ben looks like the embodiment of "blorp" and Jeff looks like he stuck black-painted bananas on his head.
