Never looking up references, drawing things that look barely human, adapting a lot of CalArt's/SU tropes, always trying to find a way to make things easier to draw (while failing miserably)... it doesn't help your art skills. I only realized I that fucked up big time is when I tried to get back into drawing realistically. Since then I learned how to utilize those tropes better, to try to look up references, not to follow the "popular" art trend (like the dreaded "CalArts/SU" styles) and to look at my art with a more critical eye (but because of this I don't share my artworks if it's not up to my somewhat high standards). My art skills are still not as good as before I drew with these tropes but I am trying to climb back up there. (Wanted to share some old art for reference but nah.)

Otherwise I don't really care about the kind of diversity they are trying to push for because the end of the day Miku with a trans flag, is just a Miku with a trans flag and other popular characters saying "[-insert something here-] rights!" or other dumb stuff won't change the kind of people's mind you want to change (if anything they'll probably dislike the these people even more).

First off,I wish you luck on trying to improve, I can show you some artist who are pretty good in my opinion, and tend to steer clear of those kinds of tropes, It might help ya get some inspirations/back in the swing of things.

Also I swear to god cunts like this will find any reason to call someone a pedo, The character in that image looks they could easily be in their Late teens early 20s, if that commenter thinks THAT looks like a fucking 13 year old who "Wants to suck your dick", I think they might be the one with a problem and projecting it, but then again loons like this seem to think that if a character isn't as wrinkly as damn raisin, they must be a child/ "trying to appeal to pedophiles".

All this speaking of pedo accusations, makes me wanna share a little story, whiles it's KINDA un-related, it is a case of self-righteous fuckhead going to far with their shit

Really, they need to learn to acknowledge their flaws without dwelling and obsessing over them while also having confidence in their art without being narcissistic. THERE IS A BALANCE,

Thank you! This all happened a long time ago since then I found plenty of artists, inspirations and styles I am going for or want to try out. I've been experimenting with a caricaturistic/surrealistic mixed style, semi-realistic, anime and 90-00's cartoon styles while nearly perfecting the style that uses some the Tumblr tropes. I only share the anime style drawings and some of the more experimental drawings that I use as profile pics (don't share my other stuff at all, oops).

God I wish this story were funny, but it's more sickening and disturbing than anything.
apparently a while back there was a young anti-anti (Someone who believes all themes no matter how dark should be explored, usually in media and shipping) who was doxxed by an older anti (someone who believes the opposite), who had apparently found out where they had lived, and this is where gets more fucked up, the anti then proceed threaten to give their address to older men with the intent of them going to their house and (sexually) harassing them. LET THAT SINK IN.

A GROWN ASS ADULT doxxed a MINOR, while threatening to leak their address to OLDER MEN, so that they could HARASS THEM, Over a dumbass stance on shipping and media.

And this person was an anti ya know the group that claim to "care" and "protect" minors from pedophiles and other fucked up shit, but apparently if a minor disagrees with you, you can doxx them and threaten to give their address to older creeps.

Luckily to my knowledge this person was blocked and banned, and the kid was alright, but it's still fucked up to me, the level of hypocrisy and the psychotic nature of self-rightous ass-hats like this

Fun fact, Qinni, an amazing artist who unfortunately passed away due to complications from cancer, dropped in a few weeks/days before her death to defend the artist.

Holy shit she's a fucking sweetheart! I looked through her art too and it looks AMAZING, it's sad that she's gone.

Plus she's right.

There is literally nothing sexual about that image and nothing to imply that the character is minor, yet ep7 is here projecting their fucked up fantasy acting like it's the artist's intent.
