My theory that Tumblr is secretly racist to Japanese (or white Asians in general) because have different views or some shit.

I don't watch anime so I don't know what this is from, but I gotta ask;
1. Why did they make the pink chick a darker pink? She was already not white, so why edit it further? Also, green horns?
2. What the hell is going on with the middle girl? The edit gave her dark skin, tumblr freckles (pink girl got blasted with the pox too, on closer inspection), weird chin discoloration, some unnecessary tufts of hair sticking up in the back, orange knees, black fingernails, and pupula duplex. (Which is reportedly a condition where the eye has two irises, and I only know about because of the Binding of Isaac.)
The rest seem mostly fine beyond the skin darkening, although I have to say I'm surprised the edit didn't make the invisible girl visible with black skin.
ETA, they also screwed up the background. It's really not hard, magic wand select the inside of the text and paint bucket fill it. It won't look amazing, but it'd be better than leaving it white.

To answer that question, we need to talk about internalized racism. Or racism in general.

Basically, Tumblr likes to blackwash Japanese or Asian people in general to fit their 'PoC' agenda, even though Asians actually are PoC. Tumblr likes to clump the two groups together as the have the simple mindset of 'white = bad'.

They’re from BNHA and the middle girl is supposed to resemble a frog, so some people give her frog-like eyes and vitiligo on her chin since frogs usually have a lighter colored chin

I really like that a while ago, people on tumblr got PISSED that the pastel-style art for Splatoon 2 made Marina (a seemingly black character) look "whitewashed" because the artwork used *gasp* ACTUAL COLOR THEORY and COLOR PALETTES.
