I can’t find a single person in this drawing that doesn’t look inhuman.

It’s a neat color palette, but I increasingly suspect that pride flags have outlived their usefulness. If the flag doesn’t represent anything tangible or important, then what’s the point?
Our society is a victim of its own success, for the majority of human history your purpose was to live long enough to shit out babies and then die. Hundreds of millions of billions of people. Do you think those people had the time to contemplate their “gender identities”? Those people were basically the same as you and me, except we have too much time on our hands to invent problems that don’t exist. I hope the entire world gets nuked tbh

We need some sort of huge horrible disaster that curbs the population and makes us remember that life is a fight for survival.

To be honest, I support the idea of drawing Jason Voorhees in anyway you wanted; however, gatekeeping people and telling them they are awful people for not drawing the slasher as your interpretation is just rude and hypocritical.

LMAO what the fuck. Poor fictional monster slasher. Wait until she learns about Sloth from the Goonies.

Sometimes I like to think of what a second Middle Ages might be like if it happened and we forget everything we knew up to that point and ended up as overworked peasants for the few who could still read, write and do anything leisurely.

In a local university art gallery. Not sure what it's trying to say, but it gives me SJW vibes everytime I pass it.

There's some more pieces here that might fit if this one counts.

Wow, the artist's misogyny is off the rails. I didn't know that violence against women (in this case, cutting off a woman's hair without her consent which used to be pretty much equivalent to rape in the past) is a-okay when it's an ugly non-white girl doing it and the victim is white and pretty!

Imagine if a black girl was the one getting her hair forcibly cut in a similar picture, or if a guy was doing it to the blonde girl. Imagine the tittybaby tantrums from the artist and other "feminists". :story:

This almost feels like an ugly girl is mad she can't have pretty hair and doesn't want other girls to have nice long hair either. What art professor would let this be put into a gallery for the university? It's not pretty, the anatomy is wonky, the medium looks like cheap watercolors, pastels and a pen, and the message is just saying the feminine girls need to stop liking feminine things. Does your uni have a 'good' art program or is this like some cheap art class some would take for just credit hours?

I'm going to be vague and objective to prevent powerleveling as best I can, but at this same place, there was a piece done of a white man pinning a black preacher and kissing him. The artist statement made it clear that it was a scene from a story they wrote and that it was about power dynamics, religion, etc and nothing about race.

The result was half people applauding for it expressing how white people culturally raped black culture, generic white privilege shit like that. The other half was indeed a tantrum for fetishizing sexual abuse, how it objectified blacks, and that it was racist. Artist got a ton of shit for it. Apparently they had a professor publically go off on them over it.

So yeah, you're right, it'd probably be an even bigger shitstorm than interracial gay church was.

Edit :

@GayDemiBoy It's a public university meant to be a stepping stone for people to get cheap credits to prep for actual universities. Head of the gallery is a sweet woman who is a legitimately well known and competent painter who follows the philosophy of "Message over aesthetics." It's a mixed bag of good and bad, but unfortunately a lot of the good gets rejected because the bad has a "better" message.

If your gallery director is picking shitty messages over something that is appealing to a larger mass of people, there's a reason why she is a professor and not an actual artist. The art world is filled with art that has an amazing message to it, but the shocking is, that art is still objectively good. I feel like she would be the kind to let students bad mouth Edmonia Lewis because she made her black sculptures look white while she was a half black half native american woman who was a successful sculptor in the late 1800's and made a piece dedicated to the end of slavery.

Shockingly unless your message is truly amazing, your art needs to be skilled and masterful to make it in the art world. She's just setting these people up for failure when they try to go out and realize that real galleries want good art.
